Just updated my iPhone to iOS 15. Ever since the update the phone connects as normal on startup and can play music. When talking on the phone through the Tundra it will work for about 5 minutes then either drop the call completely or disconnect. Once this happens you cannot reconnect and if you go to "select device" it shows the music player is connected but the phone is not. If I select the phone icon it bumps me off completely and I do not have option to reconnect either. Once I restart the truck it connects as normal .

    Any fixes?

Linkit 3.0 wireless CarPlay, Husky Xcut, Tundra metal letter on trunk, upcoming .... Smartcap EVO shell, Rail system, bed cover, ceramic tint including windshield, tinted headlights and tail lights, full time gps alarm system with dash camera front and rear, bull nose for front, debating rear bumper, waiting on long gun locker for under rear seat with seat rail mods to sit flush and not raise back seat, Pedal Commander ordered as well as fender flares and tinted film for front logo and led conversion lights for all interior lights
I apologize if this sounds simplistic but delete your truck from your bluetooth devices on your phone, then make sure all updates for all apps are done for the moment and either do a full power off and back on or do the mini power off by pushing voice and power button but then hitting cancel as that will clear the RAM/temp memory etc then re add your truck back. It's a simple fix but often thats all it takes, hoping this helps.

Try doing a restart on your headunit by pushing the on button and hold it in.

Have you had any luck? I am dealing with the same issue and have tried all fixes above. I have no problem while listening to music, but it loses Bluetooth while on the phone.

    Stock for now
Tagging in here too. But for my wife in her 2018 4-Runner

The phone calls aren't disconnecting on her Iphone, but for whatever reason the call transfers back the handset. She can pick up the phone and manually toggle the call back to Bluetooth.

I read post where a lot were having issues depending what iPhone you have connecting. That’s why I have not rushed into buying a new iPhone. I have a 7plus. Have had no issues with my tundra and none when I had my 2020 4runner Pro.

Have had that happen with my phone before, after update. Delete it from the HU and repair.

I’ve tried re-pairing, I’ve updated my phone, made sure the entune app was updated and no fix. After talking on phone for between 3-5 minutes I loose Bluetooth connection. Also the call and hang up button in steering wheel are working intermittently

I have the exact same issue on my 2019 Limited. I have unpaired and deleted from both head unit and phone (12 Pro). I am at a loss. Real pain in the ass.

Same here. Between this and the 2018 brake controller issues I am pretty frustrated
