Tried searching and could not find something similar to this issue. I have a 2017 Tundra TRD offroad double cab 4x4.

A while back I got the “Trailer Brake controller warning” for which I unplugged the battery and plugged it back in after drying out the connection (got wet from water in bed I think). No fuses are blow.

Today I go to pick up my new dump trailer, and realize there is nothing showing up in my cluster screen for the brake trailer. At all. No warnings, no screen for adjusting brake settings at all. Pressing buttons does nothing. Connections all appear ok. No fuses blown, disconnecting battery does nothing. Any ideas? Thanks!

When I removed the IBC from my 2016 Tundra I had to disconnect the battery to reset the ECU so it would not give me the "Trailer Brake Controller Warning" when it could not find the iBC, sounds like maybe you need to check all the connections to you IBC and see if there is something loose, or maybe its your connector at the back of the truck. ON pre 2018's its easy to add an aftermarket brake controller if wiring checks out.
