I've seen a post on this but not so much 2017 specific. My truck has 3,9xx miles. Today about 20 mins into my commute, this happens. All lights on. Brake controller malfunction. Blind spot monitoring system issue. 4hi and 4lo flashing. Traction light on. ABS light on. Etc.

Has anyone else dealt with this issue? IMG_0148.jpgIMG_0149.jpg

It’s all warrantied at this point, but it reminds me of the trailer brake issues.

Wow, you sure got your money's worth out of that! I would disconnect the negative terminal of the battery and wait a few minutes before reconnecting it. Might reset the computer...

Can you get the truck to shift higher than 4th gear or get over 50 mph? I had your problem plus it wouldn't shift higher than 4th gear and it turned out a rat had chewed up my main wiring harness. Pop the hood and look for rat pellets and chew marks on the wiring harness.
Let us know what resolves this for you.

I was driving past 50 on the freeway. Truck didn't feel different at all. It just started beeping and then the light show started. Lol

I did turn of the truck when I got home and restarted. All lights went off except for the traction and abs light. IMG_0151.jpg

Im guessing it's the alternator. It's common to see all these warnings, as the Alternator stops producing high enough power, the computer loses connection to the sensors and triggers all these warnings.

My truck did the same thing and 4wd wouldn't engage. I read on another Tundra forum that someone had the same thing happening and it was the battery. I swapped my battery for a Yellow Top and I haven't had issues sense.

don't disconnect the negative terminal or try to diagnose it yourself if you're still under warranty.. pain in the ass service reps will try to say "oh you reset the codes so we cant see whats wrong" etc etc. just bring it to the dealership

I'm assuming you either lost power or data comms to your cluster, brake controller, and 4x4 switch.

My 2014 did that minus the trailer brake, and bsm errors. It never went away. I always had to turn the truck off and turn it on to clear it. I never was able to find the problem. So I just traded it in for a 16 lol.

Pretty Christmas lights! Sorry, I know its not funny. Hope the dealer can get it resolved. Low voltages or intermittent power fluctuations can play havoc with computers which is one of the reasons I sometimes think I'd like to have an early 70's truck with crank windows.

All the key cycle does is make the systems go from active to dormant until systems goes through a check or calls up that specific sensor/actuator.

Until you drive a certain amount of key cycles or miles, the faults will remain until they self heal based off the above (if they ever do).

As others mentioned, don't deal with diagnosing this yourself. Its under warranty, let Toyota deal with it.

You didnt by chance run over any debris in the roadway just prior to this did you?

Like previously mentioned, I won't try to reset anything, you are under warranty and you want the dealer to read the code so they know what is/was up.

They will get it worked out for you!

    UPDATE.

So I get a call today at around 2pm. Because of the drive to the dealership and the lights all mysteriously turning off, they claim nothing registered during diagnostic. They now want me to authorize a 4 hour teardown so the techs can "dig further". And because my truck has a 5" lift, they say my warranty is completely voided. Now I did not take that part too easy.

I asked, did the suspension modification cause the electronic issues that the truck is experiencing, he says "his manager won't agree to warranty work because my warranty is voided and the labor cost is coming out of my pocket". So then I asked "why would my entire warranty be voided because of a suspension modification if the issue is not related to the suspension"? He says he can't tell me if it'll be warranty work or not unless they do a 4hr teardown.

They informed me of the lights not being present even after they drove the truck around so I told them "no thanks" to the 4 hour tear down as he agreed since they would be "chasing a ghost".

Entire vehicle warranty voided because of a suspension lift? That's unheard of. My 16 taco was lifted and serviced under warranty. Weird, shady dealership.

IMG_0167.jpg Here's the funny part. Top picture was taken when I got home. 3940 miles. Middle picture shows when I pulled into the dealership. 3943 miles. And third was when I got home from the dealership, 3946 miles. (My intentions of taking pictures was to document the light show, but it came in handy for other purposes.)

Now if I did the math correctly, it takes approximately 3 miles from my house to the dealership. The service advisor told me they drove the vehicle around and the light still did not come on. I was wondering how they were able to drive my truck around to try and replicate the problem without any mileage being added to my odometer, around their lot maybe?!. Lol. That dealership is such a joke. I guess I shouldn't have brought it there on the day of their holiday luncheon.

    Happy Holidays Toyota Vallejo. Smdh.

For those with lifts, does the ZPC only help with VSC issues?

    ***Solved***

My issue was a simple fix. Front driver side ABS sensor was acting up. Kinda put the pieces of the puzzle together as my brake fade seems to be focused on the front drivers side. Went to local pick n pull, pulled out another ABS sensor from a donor truck and BAM! Issue resolved. However, dissapointed by my local toyota dealer who decided to give me the run around when i brought in my truck for this issue which was caused by my bad ABS sensor problem. It seems that the bad ABS sensor was causing the circuitry of the truck to act weird which caused all my warning lights to go on. But now, truck runs great! I waited till I hit a couple hundred miles before I'd update to make sure the issue is fixed. No light show present! Thought id share my findings and maybe this will help someone along the way. Happy 2018 folks!
