My brother in law has a 2016 white 4Runner and a 2016 dark silver if I'm correct. Prior to my new Platinum I had a silver 2013 Tundra SR5 and before that a silver 2008 Tacoma. All the colors are great. I just like the shade of MGM and hides the dirt a little better.
I have been waiting a long time to build my dream truck and finally going to do it with this one

Finally spent time with family at Church, took my son to piano practice then cub scouts. Quality time with God, family...... Now quality time with my Truck and installed ESP rear under seat metal storage compartment.
Read lots of post on installations, only difference is I put the carpet and padding on the bottom to give a little soft metal to metal contact, sound barrier an it help make it fit snug to the base. Only hard part was installing the rear bracket to the storage as I had to jiggle it back and forth by myself. Make it easy on your self get a buddy and save the aggravation, but nothing a beer break time can't solve.
Next week is tint, spray on bed liner and if time permits TracRack sliding rack system with cantilever all had them powder coated black and low profile 12" tool box.

Today installed:BRACKETEER for the fire extinguisher, very simple and makes it look professionally installed. I trimmed the plastic piece that was in the way so I could re instal my seat cover bracket.

After 3 coats and letting it dry for a day, finally get to put it all back together again. Love that it's all protected even the tail gate extender and the rubber mat for extra protection and abuse..... next project is tinting, in Hawaii has to be legal so going to follow the rules as I also need RECON when I'm done with my custom build...aloha

I helped my friend who has his own detailing shop, he came over my house for a couple days after his work and helped me prep, sand, spray and re instal....kinda OCD so wanted to make sure all the tape edges were straight, 3 even coats, and installed back correctly. He knows how I am and I made sure it was worth his time helping me. Total cost for spray and tint is $500... tint is going now as we speak

Quick instal on pedal commander. Has 4 modes and 4 levels so total 16 different modes. Only had to figure out where to place the controller module. Will give data once I do a few different modes. City for better gas mileage and sport for quickness/speed. Mostly will do city to see if I can up mile per gallon average. And for fun the sports mode or until my supercharger is installed

Antenna I think is 7" from Amazon and rear camera is from Ampulla just need a bracket to instal on overhead cuz the back windows rolls down and will not mount on window because of that. I read somewhere that another company is making a bracket for the rear window. Can't remember where I saw it

Had time today in instal my TracRak sliding rack system. Had them powder coated awhile a ago. Read and watched the video and took my time. The hardest part was the cantilever as had lots of parts and making sure everything was even and balanced. I love how I can now slide it forward when not in use and slide it to what ever length I need its , plus they have tons of parts to supplement the system. Can't wait to use it for when I take my LONGBOARD out SURFING soon....Aloha

Yesterday tinted the front visor 15%, front side 35%, rear side and rear window 5% to be street legal in Hawaii.
Today installed my low profile slim tool box on the TracRac sliding toolbox kit adapter. So glad I bought this system as it can slide to any location I need or just remove if need be, same as the racks. I got the locks for the rack and tool box for peace of mind and also the sliding hooks and strap attachments for later.
Next big project will be to ship her to Maui for my final custom 12" suspension, tire & rims, super charger & bully dog tuner, gearing, speed calibration, power step bars, fender flares and lights
Then end of this year the sound system

So the top pic is the bolt that secures to the sliding rail base. The next pic the screw bolt that will lock it in place to whatever place you choose. Next pic is how it looks when done.

Put a coat of "TerraShield" ceramic coating. Used there kit, followed instructions. WOW looks like "glass" and feels like "silk". I hope it last for a year or so as they claim. Either way looks better than when I bought it brand new.

How easy was this? Since my truck is a 14 is it worth doing it?
