Glad to have found this group! I've already read some great threads and may have even learned a thing or two. Just got the truck in April for a camping rig (and second vehicle, and utility vehicle). Only interested in 4WD for BLM fire roads and mostly tame situations. (My idea of an adventure these days is getting back home).

The search that made me aware of this group was to try and solve a problem with our rig. The camper rocks forward and back terribly and has even slapped the top of the cab a time or two on particularly nasty bumps. Never had that kind of flex on 2 other trucks with 3 other campers. I've been advised to get her weighed to confirm it's not grossly overloaded (but the Lance and Toyota reps said it was a good match. Was I duped?)

I have learned lots from the suspension thread and posted a more pointed question there but for this post it's just "Hey! and glad to have found y'all"

This could be some of the problem. Look at the weight, then go look inside the drivers door and see what your capacity is.

Some people put a 3/4-1” piece of plywood in the bed to lift up the camper just a bit.

What kind of tie down system do you run?

Oem tonneau, side steps, spray in liner. Trd skidplate.
Looks like the Lance 650, standard dry weight is 1700 lbs. That is well over the payload for the crewmax. Any mods on the truck?
