I found a local audio shop, Rainier Audio, and had them install Dynamat Xtreme to my four doors.

Before I left the shop, I told the installer that when he was done, to inspect all my speakers and equipment for defects and come up with an upgrade proposal or two.

When I arrived at the shop, the guys there were pretty excited to have me check out my truck. Wow! The sound system went from vibrating and unclear to solid and crystal clear lyrics and treble. My truck now has the same sound quality as my Bose headphones!

The cost for this was $210 for the Dynamat, and $270 for installation. $525 including sales tax.

They told me that while they could suggest certain upgrades, but unless I was into rap/heavy bass music, that my stereo didn't need any upgrades. Refreshing to get that kind of honesty out of a business huh?

I may very well have these guys do the floors and ceiling areas too because I'm sold on the process, and even a bit more improvement would be appreciated. I also plan on Linex for the underside of my truck.

I am changing out the OEMs to Alpine, with the front being components.

If this doesn’t do the trick then I may add a 5 channel and custom subs.

The dynamat is considered on the tail end.

Then thump up some Shawn Paul, Beres, Sanchez.......:rasta::taco::rasta::dancingbacon:

eBay matz runs about $60 for 50sq. Ft.

Pop em panels and get intimate with the truck. ..... at least I would know that all the clips are replaced....

Holy mackerel!!! They weren't messing around we're they.

My daughter's xB is completely sound deadened, with out the quilted stuff, just the vibration stuff, and it made a YUGE difference in that little tin can.

Definitely going to do my Tundra one of these days. I get a lot of noise coming from the back wall.

Like the OP stated, well worth the cost/effort.

I'm old and like quite. I wanna think I'm riding in a Cadillac but actually riding in something cool, a Tundra (Disclaimer: a CTS-V would fulfill the "cool" requirement also).
