I've had my 2016 for about two months...anybody's clock just start showing ----, and now my miles left of fuel display says low fuel when I have a half tank, obviously no low fuel? I've disconnected the battery a few times while installing headlights/tail lights but I've never disconnected anything else. Took to dealer and they took a quick look and asked me to take to the dealership I bought it which is an hour away. Thought I'd hit all of you up. I appreciate any info.

Sounds like there's a relay or ECU issue. But it could also be something as simple as a blown fuse. Regardless, I'd still take it to the dealer. It's still under warranty and should absolutely be covered, and on the chance there was a manufacturing issue I'd be riding that dealer all the way to the bank.

You took it to your local Toyota dealership and they told you to go to the one you bought it from???

@joonbug that is correct, he looked at it and ran a troubleshooting checklist, but yeah. Not sure what there gonna do that he can do. I had been there for an hour and had to get to work so I just said thanks and left. I'm sure they can dig into it more if I left the truck for a few days.

It's a warranty repair. You're not required to go back to where you bought it from. That's some BS. I'd go back there and tell them to fix it.

Agree with others...take it to the dealer.
As @joonbug said you can take it to any Toyota dealer for warranty. Just pays them less so they are trying to pass you off.

Just an update on the miles fuel remaining error. I drove around today and problem solved. I think the computer needed to recalibrate.
