what after market power folding mirrors will work ? I know some added wiring is required. my mirrors have heated function, power adjustment, and that is it. if the new mirror has other functions like BSM,or memory, will it work?

I’m commenting because I would love to do the same thing. I have to fold 1 mirror to fit it in my garage!

Bumping this thread, I'm in the same boat as @RyeHog. I've gotten used to folding the driver side mirror before entering garage, but I'd love to hit a button instead.

Well, the search function turned up a bunch of threads with replies that said "use the search function". Thanks for pinpointing a very relevant and helpful thread.

    In a nut shell:
Memory functions are controlled by ECUs in the door. So no, memory won’t work unless your truck has memory

If the mirrors you buy have any of the following, then:
Puddle Lamps will only work if you already have them, or if you add wiring
BSM will only work if you already have them, or if you add the parts and the wiring like I did
EC/auto-dim on the side mirrors will only work if you already have it, or if you add wiring
Power fold will only work if you already have it, unless you add the wiring and a new switch (you must use the switch from the Gen 2 Limited non-memory Tundra)
Turn signals will work because all of the trucks are pre-wired for them (except maybe the SR trim)
Marker lights will work because all of the trucks are pre-wired for them (except maybe the SR trim)
Defrost will work because all of the trucks are pre-wires for them (except maybe the SR trim)

    @RainMan_PNW comes through.

Don’t need anything fancy, just power fold, turn signals and heat. Sounds like I’d be adding a new switch panel and some wiring, along with the new motorized mirrors.

What am I losing with no memory? I believe that would be my situation on the Pro.

With your Pro, you won’t be losing anything. The Platinum and 1794 trims have memory that saves the position of the seat, steering wheel, and side mirrors for three different drivers. For everyone else, that’s not even an option.

Yeah. I just use it as an excuse to not let anyone else drive my truck.

Daughter: Dad, can I drive your truck?
Me: No, you’ll screw up my seat and mirror settings.
    Daughter:
