Passenger side wiper linkage popped off when heavy snow fell on the wipers.
I can't tell for sure but it looks like the joint is riveted or something because I don't see any threads in the hole.
Dealer said to replace the entire thing for $250 and I'd rather not.

Any ideas on how to fix this?

I know this may come across as savage, but can you weld it? :)

    Looks like a splined connection.

I assume it was a press fit and there is not a missing or sheared off fastener?

Get it indexed right and press it back with a shop press.

A tack weld sure wouldn’t hurt for future retention.

I wonder if an e clip groove will show up once it is pressed down?

I live in Mass where we get rain and snow and when you need your wipers its no joke. Might be worth it for saftey reasons and if not weld it.

Look for a used one on Ebay or a junkyard.

Thanks for your suggestions. Don't know why welding it didn't cross my mind.
