Hello, I am currently figuratively spinning my wheels in the mud as I try to decide what lift I should install on my 2014 Tundra with the TRD Bilstein suspension package. The vehicle currently has about 140k miles, so the suspension is 'used' to say the least. I want a 3-3.5 inch lift as most of them seem to be fairly easy to install which is important because I will be (attempting) to do this myself. What I would like to know is with my current mileage and suspension package is it a better idea to run with a RC or Toytec block/spacer lift or should I buy the 3.5 RC shock bolt-on lift OR save up and buy a Toyec 3-inch lift. My budget would be my best bang for the buck under the $1500 mark. Thank you for your help and ideas.

I'd go with toytec coilovers up front and shackles in the rear. The ride is unmatched compared to a block/spacer lift. Do it once, do it right - if you can afford to.

Stay with 3" max lift, less headache. I was on 6112/5160 wth 1/4" CB spacer and 1.5 Toytech shackles with 37's. I'm now on Fox 2.5 DSC all around with same shackles and 37's.

For those running Toytec, did you do the installation, and if so was it overly difficult? Also how much trimming did you have to do for the bigger tires?

Yes, I did it myself. Depends on how mechanically experienced you are. If you have done a decent amount of work in the past, I'd rate it a 5/10 on the difficulty level. Just my $0.02...

As for trimming, did a aggressive BMC. Before I had the aftermarket bumper, I trimmed about 2" off of the stock front bumper. Also installed SPC UCAs and got caster to 4 degrees.
