Question Frac’rs, I ran this kit in my 16 and 19 tundras and loved it. Picked up a used one from @Squatting Pigeon and grabbed the yotaleds bracket for my Seqouia pro grill.
The thing I am unsure of is how my camera will look/ be blocked by my lights. On my prior tundras all the lights were inside the bumper, these are mounted outside on a Randy Ellis designs Baja bar (will be there till I rip the front end off then a real bumper). Any mounting tips? Different location? Really need the front camera so the wife doesn’t smash $2k worth of lights into a car and ours while parking ;)

I could always pivot and get a flush camera and put it on the license plate frame I guess?

Maybe attach it to the bar right in between the two big lights in the middle. You can always shorten the wire and put it in the grille once you upgrade to that fancy new bumper later

Well I want to start by thanking Lou for making such a great product. The install video is spot on. I finally got time today to install this. Everything went good but that freaking grommet you have to go through. But I calmed down and got it. Everything is working as it should and everything went back together good. I still have to try the VIM switch but I'm sure it will work fine. I got the OEM switch but after seeing how small the wires were i decided not to hook up the illumination. The grommet is really the hardest part... But you got it done! Glad it meets your expectations. I love happy customers.

How's that location working for you? I liked it for the fact that I could put it there with zero mods to the grille.

I like it so far. It points a little to the right and I'm good with that. I may try to put a shim behind to pull it back in just a little bit. I don't want it sticking out and getting hit by something.

Any new updates on when the special connectors for the 3rd gens will be available? Hoping you had heard something from your supplier(s). Thanks!

I installed mine years ago but recently uninstalled since I got a new HU. Mine was a 2018 so I am no help.

@TundraTex will be able to provide assistance

I ordered my FRAC harness with the OEM style switches. Looking forward to tackling this project. Out of every mod that I've done, on any truck, I think this has got to be in the Top 10 of mods that I'm most excited about. So much so that I couldn't wait any longer on a FRAC harness to come out for my 2022 Tundra that I traded it in for a 2021. lol. Kidding. But, this is one of the benefits of going back a year from a 22 to a 21...I'm able to perform this mod.

I ended up ordering both styles of the Natika camera, along with the YotaLeds front camera bracket for the TRD OR grill. I know I "over ordered" but I wanted to have everything on hand to see how I can get the front camera mounted as cleanly as possible.

I'm thinking it will be either the bracket style, or a combination of the post-style along with the Yota bracket.

    Bracket-style Camera:
    upload_2024-5-7_7-47-59.png

Post-style camera & Yota bracket for the TRD OR grill:
    upload_2024-5-7_7-49-11.png
    upload_2024-5-7_7-49-50.png

I'm thinking the combination of the post & bracket will end up working best. Credit to @zasdds who, after an hour of searching, finally had a pic of the mounting design that I had in my head.

You'll love it. I've used mine way more than I thought I would. The only problem I had was that dang %$&#@% rubber grommet on the fire wall. It was a pain to get that rca plug through.

The firewall grommet is always a PITA. Always.

I've wired CBs, GMRS radios, HAMs, Amps, light controllers...you name it. I've never met a truck or car that made it easy. haha.

I will tell you what though...on my last build (build thread) I used a Trigger Controller 6-Shooter for all of my lights. First time ever that I got to avoid the firewall transition and boy did it change my world. I can't recommend Trigger enough for anyone wanting an accessory controller.

Side note: I'm not affiliated with them in any way. Just a fan of their product.

Thanks to azTony for selling me his Frac on buy/sell/trade here. Install was fairly easy, Hardest part was figuring out camera location to the Pro grill. Settled for Raayoi
camera https://www.amazon.com/dp/B074P45P7G?ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_product_details and used some double sided tape to install. Love the way it works and like to use the rear view to check and see who is coming up behind me when changing lanes. Wish there was a way to activate the rear camera when turning on the turn signal. Pictures of my install.IMG_5284.jpgIMG_5285.jpgIMG_5287.jpg

This is great. I love seeing the FRAC Harness move from owner to owner as folks move to other vehicles. I know of one customer that is the 4th owner of his FRAC harness!
