OP very nice work. I know you mentioned that you don't have time to print these for people. You have even given away your design with a downloadable link and still people aren't able to find a manufacturer. So here's an idea for you.

Could you get a place to print out small batches, say 10 or 20 at a time? Then get someone else to cut cover plates from the 12x24 sheet for you? Then simply collect a fee and drop these into a Small or Medium USPS flat rate box and off it goes. No issue about where its being sent or how much it weighs as postage cost is always the same. Cost of Part + Shipping + Profit= Business Venture. May not be quite that simple (see below) but you get the idea. Probably not a great source of revenue but will look great on your resume for the future. Only one catch so read below.

By giving the process away for free you have deflected away any liability from yourself. However if you begin to manufacture and sell the piece do you need a disclaimer or release from liability? You are dealing with a piece that effects a safety device. That will mean getting an attorney involved which will cost some money. If you are simply selling a couple pieces of plastic, NOT a Relocation Kit, then its a grey area. Try talking to a Law Professor at U of W. They may help an Alum. Just a thought.

Hey @neuguy the zip file on Thingverse no longer exists.

 

I just checked thingiverse and the files are still there. You need to download the two .STL files.

 

I asked silverhack and he sent me the files. Thanks for the help. Ill see what this guy quotes me.

 

So i sent it out to 1 place and they want $330 bucks. Does this sound a bit high?

Someone else had this problem too and commented on Thingverse. Maybe you just need to re-upload the zip to Thingverse?

This is my buddies company. I showed him this thread and the Thingiverse link and he said he can print it and ship it to anyone who wants one. Check out his website for the material he uses and other details.

He is also a Mechanical Engineer and can make any adjustments or changes to the design, or something different altogether.

 

Did he say how much?

He said its a bit more because he uses a different material than the nylon the OP had spec'd. Its stronger and can take a lot more heat. Its on his site.

OK sorry for the confusion. He didn't realize there are 2 separate parts. He reduced the density of the parts since he is using a stronger material to bring the cost down. He also said he can knock a few bucks off if he gets an order of around 10. That way he doesn't have to set up his table multiple times.

Looks like 95 bucks is the price for a single set up.

Hey OP, any chance you could mock up a garnish for the 2019 TRD Pro grill for those of us w/o TSS... Ares Fab no longer sells them and I'm sure there is a big market

 

This looked like fun so I decided to print one. 10.5 hour print time for both pieces.

 

Thanks for sharing neuguy. So I uploaded the file on 3dhub, should be getting the mount in a couple days. Question is, is there a fixed location the mount is mounted to?

Standard abs 30% infill and 300um Came out to be $50 w/ tax

The pieces came out nice. I used ABS with 30% gyroid infill and thickened the walls to 3mm. Gyroid is the strongest infill pattern and 3mm is double what default wall thickness is so these should be tough.

You have to click "THING FILES" in the option bar in the middle of the page. The download all button doesn't work.
