On the trip on some of the awful CA. roads (10 west & east) there was a bunch of rear bounce, I'm hoping from using the wedge to lift the suspension. So I ordered these:

Since I'll be damned if I'm going to mess with the springs again with my compressor I bought this from Amazon.

Ordered a compressor for my air springs.

More validation stock is a CAI. 52 ambient, 53 intake temp.

 

This is something I've thought about installing under the hood. Interested to see how this turns out.

 

Air bags & compressor came, oddly the vendor said this package was the T junction, not the bags.

Mount I may not use came for the compressor.




The reason is I also bought this 2.5 gallon tank I'll hopefully mount the compressor on.

 

eBay compressor mount in, fit perfectly bolted to the three existing bolts, outside having to push the heater hoses alittle.

 

Today was either going to be the airbags or compressor, I took the easy way out.



25 feet of hose came yesterday, it's waiting for a 10' hose to go from the compressor to a 2.5 gallon tank that will go under the truck.

I'll either do the bags during the week or next weekend.

 

So compressor will fill tank?? That’s gonna be sweet!

 

Yup, the compressor was on sale on eBay and I wanted to free up space the DeWalt is taking up in the back under floor storage, also frees up a battery.

 

Compressor wired up, just need the tank to complete its install. Switch has a temporary home, will be going in a 3D printed switchplate angkorstrong will make, he will be making two larger openings for the larger switch.

 

Wow really nice setup. Did your sequoia come with that rear tilt feature for the mirrors or did you install that separately with the new ones?

 

Thanks, no I did not have rear tilt, I bought the switch hoping the extra wire harness I had there fit & it did! I don't use it anymore because the lower part of the tow mirrors show me that area.

 

Tank came, was supposed to include the low pressure air output, pressure gauge, pressure release, pressure switch petcock, and Schrader valve. Nothing but the petcock & low pressure output.

It took over a week to get and now shows 12-16 days to deliver. Amazon wanted to replace it. Got them to give me cost of the missing parts & I ordered them for delivery tomorrow.

Didn't want a Schrader valve, plugged the hole with a bolt.

 

99% of my parts for the air came. Missing threaded couplers to go between the T fittings.

 

I wrestled with the tank trying to get it inside the frame without success so I ran a hose to the back and will bring the tank when I need it.

I ran out of time for the bags and will try again tomorrow.

 

build is coming along, subbed for updates. I used a rubber hose clamp to hold the heater hose out of the way for my arb compressor. The mount was made for a tundra right? I might add a tank in the future in place of the spare tire or maybe an auxiliary fuel tank

 

Yup Tundra mount. I shoehorned it in there.

Switchplate & cupholder inserts came, I need to extend the wires for the back window & nanny off switch to fill the two remaining holes.

Switches are done.

 

Didn't like the T junction, got an adaptor for the hose & ordered an ARB NPT coupler for access to a hose.

 

The coupling came, it's too big for the port, ordered another adaptor.

 

Adaptor came, ports are too close so I still needed the T.

 

The shelf & brackets for the air tank came & I painted them.

 

Kid cut me off and then with an attitude said he knew how to drive & called me grandpa. I weep for the future.

I think you might need to invest in some steel bumpers and then it is not YOUR problem.

 

I'm leaving the bumpers alone on the Sequoia. The Tundra has big bumpers, I am not trying to get in an accident (as proven by that video) but welcome a new bumper cover to get rid of the Texas license plate holes.
