Hey everyone! I was driving my 2012 Tundra yesterday when all of a sudden my dash lights started flickering and a half mile later, dead. Charged the battery, replaced the battery posts and still nothing. Thoughts? I thought maybe the alternator but battery remains charged. Help

Sounds like a battery going bad. Id have it load tested and checked, it may be charged but still low on volts or if bad cells, will not handle load. If it is in fact good, test your alternator output. Check those and if still an issue report back. Battery going out in a Tundra does the errors and lights thing just like that.

Did you check the cables to make sure they are securely attached. My positive had come loose once and it did the same thing.

If that's the original battery I would say there are some dead/weak cells. Try a new battery first.

I think I asked earlier that if I put the charger in boost, wouldn’t I see some power at least chimes etc?

    Pretty things
Not on the Tundra (yet), but I have definitely experienced batteries so bad they will not function even with 12v applied to them. I assume some kind of internal short.

I hope that answers your question.

If that battery is ten years old I'd say that someone got their monies worth! That'd be pretty good going if it's the second battery.
