Hello everyone, new to the forum, my name is Jeff. I have a 2008 Toyota Tundra (4X4) XSP. My vehicle is a non navigation/back-up camera vehicle. I want to update my Head Unit (HU) to an aftermarket radio with touch screen/GPS/Back-up camera. I damaged my tailgate when I had the wrong size ball on my tongue for a trailer and it got tore-up pretty good. I found an OEM Toyota tailgate (supposedly a 2008...not sure if that was an option) with the back-up camera already in the tailgate handle. I thought the connector for the back-up camera would connect to the OEM wiring harness, located underneath the bed, next to the spare tire. However, the connectors are different. My questions are; (1) can I splice in to the wires and connect them (I was thinking of using a 4 prong trailer connector, just in case I need to remove my tailgate). Does anyone know the wire connections? I have searched everywhere through these forums (no luck). (2) Is the connector located by the spare tire the wire that is run in the driver's side pillar for an overhead camera? And, how do I connect it to my aftermarket radio? I have a 12v to 6v reducer. I have posted a few photos for clarification. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.20200303_125339.jpg 20200303_125524.jpg 20200303_125553.jpg

Funny thing I was just going through some old files and found this diagram this morning. Hope it helps. It says it's for a 2010, but I used it for my 2007 when I was trying to add the rear camera.

Thanks for the schematic. That should help me get started in the right direction. I really appreciate your help. Take care.
