148k. Love my truck! Toytech Boss level kit. Ridgegrapplers ten ply 29’s I think? BA 8” exhaust. 12 MPG. 13 MPG if I am really careful and go the speed limit. Truck is still in perfect shape. Don’t like the look of new gen tundras . Drove a new Tacoma today. It was nice but cab was small. Would take some getting used to. Don’t know what I would get if I sold my Tundra? If I bought some regular truck tires could I expect 15-17 mpg? Or would it just bump up to 14 MPG? Thanks for any and all advice.
    Love yours. D6D850CF8-B3D9-4FD9-8EB5-3F1FC14C1E22.jpg

Nature of the beast. An ‘08 so I’m gonna assumed paid off. Spend the “payment” on fuel instead.

Put everything back to stock and slow down.

    Also, use the search bar.

My dad had a Fiat. Said it got 65 mpg but he got tired of pushing it 30 miles to the shop for repairs.

Lighter wheels and tires and lower back to stock height will get back your gas mileage, plus a tune up

Use Google search, type in what you would search the forum for, but add Tundras.com to the end of your search. Voila, better than the forum search tool by far. It will show you threads here with what you’re looking for.

drop in K&N filter, removed resonator.
This isn't a help but you can't expect any better than that, that's what I get with a stock setup..

My 08 is 2wd crew max, leveled with oem pro wheels and tires, afe filter, magnaflow muffler and bully dog tuner. At my best I average 15mpg hand calculated.

You can drink what ever koolaide the forums say ( looking at you DD exhaust). She ain’t gonna get much better. Newer trucks tend to get slightly better mpg that the 07-13 ones in general.

    Too many, but not enough....
Get a set of highway tires at proper psi, don't pass over 30% on your throttle position, turn your ac on after your on highway and keep it between 60 and 65 on highway. That should get you at a bare minimum 2 mpg. DD exhaust gave me some mileage back so you got that going for you.

This plus drive behind cars on the highway so they can take all the drag, similar to F1 cars drafting behind others. This helps a bunch since our trucks aren’t very aerodynamic. Google hypermiling. It’s not sexy but it’ll get you around 10% mpg.
