    PapaSmurf,

Do you have any more pictures of the front hanger fully welded and mounted?

Hey everyone so here’s the update this isn’t dead just takes a while on leafs...

I’ll be picking up my 3” leafs this week. I have everything else in hand for 9 more kits... minus leafs you gotta order from Deaver..

@Vizsla @831Tun @joonbug and one other person now have leafs on order. They are spec’d to 7700 lbs total truck weight w all gear loaded. Most trucks will be 1-200 lbs within that weight so these should work for pretty much all SUA LT tundras.

I have all their front hangers and leaf plates ready as well as frame bushings and spacers for shackles... so I will be starting the swap in the next two weeks. So more pictures and updates to follow.

I should have added the MT SOA setup will be coming early in the year we have to get a set of springs ordered and then do some custom fab for spring plates and bump plates might be integrated as well... additionally I have to find someone who can leave there truck w me for a bit... most of the MT rear guys I know local are planning on switching to LT so if anyone in SoCal is interested ... and wants to be first PM me and we can discuss

Just a question. So for the guys like ADS that offer Deaver spec rears or stock what option should they go with? Or it won’t matter at this point?

I'm interested still as per pm way back ago lol. I'll be forsure converting to LT so the 3" LT SUA setup is what I'll be interested in. not the MT setup.

Until @papasmurf gets back to answer, I'll say 3" is the way to go. Our trucks eat leaf springs like popcorn. I've been through 2 leaf packs and broken 2 leafs, all MT stuff. Anyone with a rack and RTT needs 3" leafs IMO. Anyone who hauls or tows needs these too IMO.
What's important for your ADS bypasses is that the leaf stack be +/- 2" thick on top of the axle.

Ok so on the shock situation that’s snake oil ... a spec shock isn’t really anything more than minor valve changes in the shin stack.. all shock companies can be ordered w any combo once we do some testing we can intensity what would be a good baseline shim stack for different brand shocks. In reality if you are SOA MT setup w a Deaver spec ADS REar shock you would use the same shock just might have to tune the tubes differently or have them revalved potentially won’t know till we get a 3” leaf on a SOA setup... there are some other challenges w the MT guys in shock mounts leaf mounts and spring plates will all be different than SUA LT setup... so I have some homework to do there which is why I need a truck someone is willing to leave w me for a while ... I have a 2018 in my back yard but it’s bone stock and my brother in laws truck so I can’t use that one sadly... anyway let me know if there are any more questions

Shocks options will remain the same if you go with 3" wide leafs. There is no difference in the geometry of the suspension setup.

If the leaf pack isn't thick enough its a simple matter to add a spacer leaf to the pack. Its only something the SOA guys need to keep in mind, SUA doesnt matter

We can use his truck to take measurements for clearance Bruce

Also, if ADS or whoever specs the valve stacks for the K37 packs, it will ride the same with the 3" wide packs. The new packs wont have a different spring rate or different geometry. They will simply be wider and thinner

Also, for all you MT guys, doing a u bolt flip will help your ground clearance off road.

Honestly, I cant see any reason for an MT guy to stick with the 2.25" wide leafs. There are serious cons to those leafs.

ill need the truck for probably a few weeks, preferably someone who doesnt daily drive it and has another car to drive, i have one person already who may be my first victim, i mean customer... but ill have more info soon, working on measurements with @osidepunker then we have to contact a vendor be it Deaver or others to make a set and then we go from there, most of this wont happen before the 1st of the year. Ill keep everyone updated with progress as we go

ok, you're awesome. this is what i've been waiting for since i never pulled the trigger on custom alcans. not sure how much longer my u748s are going to last. if i were still in SD, i'd leave you my truck.

put me down for the MT SOA setup. what's your time frame?

I'm glad you're offering this to the MT guys @papasmurf The 2.25" leafs are a definitely weak point for our trucks. Stock, Deaver, Atlas, RXT.... doesn't matter, they all flatten within a year. Too bad this wasn't an option when I had my MT truck, I would've been all over this.
