    Caleb is here!

Addressing some of these moisture issues I'm now seeing, not to worry! This was a batch issue, we've relayed info to Morimoto about this and they have reviewed their productions to ensure this is no longer an issue moving forward. Anyone who has condensation issues who ordered from the original batch, please email us and we will see to it that you're sent out a replacement without any issues at all. :)

    Thank You everyone!

On one hand, that's good to hear. But, on the other hand, it's a real PITA if you're not mechanically inclined, you paid someone to apply a protective vinyl covering on the headlights, then to install your headlights. Then if you are one of the unfortunate people who got headlights with condensation issues, you have to pay someone to remove the leaky headlights and reinstall the replacements (or possibly the stock headlights while waiting for the replacements to arrive). That mechanic or tech will not work for free, so I have to pay to remove and reinstall one extra time, plus it's a hassle and expense for me to drive over an hour into the nearest major city to have this done each time. And probably pay customs and duty again when the replacements are shipped to me in Canada. Then once again pay someone to apply the protective vinyl to the replacement headlights before installing the replacement Morimoto headlights.

Of course, if my headlights are not part of the bad batch, this won't be an issue. I sure hope they are not. Is there a marking or anything on the headlights to indicate a batch number? I sure hope mine are not part of this. I suppose quality control issues and recalls can happen to the best of companies, but when you pay top dollar for what is touted as the best aftermarket and nearly comparable to OE parts, this is not what you want to deal with. I'm kind of wishing I had just paid more and got genuine Toyota Sequoia LED headlights now.

There is a way to source which batch your housings came out of, this would be done Via Serial Number. If you're curious, you can email us and we'll take a look for you to determine what batch they sourced from!

I understand not being mechanically inclined, but if you have to drive two hours round trip then it may be worth your time to learn to undo the four bolts to swap the headlight.

There's more to this than meets the eye. I also have a physical disability (disabled parking permit to prove it), I also noticed some of the problems people are having with high beams not working and I tend to screw up the simplest things and then it costs even more to have someone else fix it. Since the Moriomoto headlights have the headlight leveling motors, I ordered the headlight leveling switch kit off eBay but I am not up to speed on installing new wiring and switches (I'm sure it's easy for some of you). I also have the XB fog lights (low to the ground, I can't crawl around to install those), and I am getting all of the lights - headlights and fog lights - covered in protective vinyl. As simple as it looks, it seems those are a real PITA to install and many people ruin the vinyl so it will be cheaper and easier to get a pro from a car wrapping place to so it for me.

So if you must know, THAT's why I'm driving two hours round trip instead of learning how to undo four bolts to swap the headlight. Before making assumptions, remember what they say about assuming. And there's always more to the story. I just didn't feel it was necessary to tell it all, but maybe it it for inquiring minds. Everyone is good at something. I'm sure there are many things you are good at that I'm not. And I'm sure there are a few things I'm good at that you're not. Everyone has their own strengths and weaknesses.

Just for an additional datapoint. I got my lights during the May sale. This month has been extremely wet around here, including one Tropical Storm. So everything is still dry as a bone in the lights.

I'm unsure on a Labor day sale, we aren't informed on sales until the date is closer. I'll be sure to update if we do run a sale! :)

Hope Morimoto comes out with a Gen2 for these headlights with LED projectors. This is the only Morimoto model in the whole line that I've seen doesn't come with projectors. The new 2018-2020 F150 Gen2 lights are impressive

I just received my set that I ordered Monday but I don’t see the revised housing to work with the 2nd gen sequoia headlight washers.

As per this post, you had said in a month or so in June, being September I figured they had been revised by now.

Did I receive one from an old batch?

I have a set of decent enough spyder headlight on my 08, put some led bulbs in them and they are ok, but I feel like the OEM halogens let me see better at night. So Ive been look at these XB’s. Couple questions if you dont mind, I have skimmed through every page here.

    - does it appear that the leaking or condensation issues are random or fixed?
    - How is the night time lighting compared to OEM?
    - I dont have auto leveling on my truck is this an issue with manual adjustment once I install them?

    Thank you

As someone that had leaking lights, both were promptly replaced and so far no further issues, granted it's only been a few weeks.

The light output is very good. I'd go so far as to say my perception is it is just as good if not better to my eye than my stock halogens. A very OEM-like light output. However they are not as bright as the OEM LEDs on my Lexus LX570, which are super bright.

The lights can be adjusted manually, you simply wont have a plug to insert into the leveling socket.

Other than the initial water infiltration issue, I am very happy with the performance and look of the headlights esp the daytime halo ring and turn signal light articulation. The only complaint I have is, I'd wish the daytime halo light would dim when the headlights are turned on, it is very bright during the day and even more so at night. These lights were a huge step up from my stock morimoto HID conversations.

The daytime running light does dim when you turn the headlights on. I don't know why yours aren't.

At 6:50 in this video, the halo rings do not appear to dim when the headlights are turned on.

    Understand

Now in this video they appear to dim. Perhaps the dimming is so dominus that it is difficult to notice when the headlights are activated.

I'll try just turning on the parking lights.
