    It is frustrating...

I dropped my drivers side assembly off at UPS today and as I was carrying the box in, water was pouring out of the bottom of the box. :eek2:

Anyway, trying to get the passenger side assembly processed today.

It seems to me it might be more of a venting issue than anything.

There aren't any vent "patches" or covers that got peeled off by accident? Just a thought...

Not unless it happened when they packaged them. I did not inspect the lights beyond a once over to ensure they were not damaged when I removed from the box. When I receive the replacement I'm going to more closely examine assembly to include the venting.

So I double check i made a mistake when posting the problem is that the high beam light doesn't come on everything else work fine. And everything is plugged properly. The high beams worked fine on the stock. Any ideas ?

Turn the plug around and plug it in. They can be plugged in on either side, and also check your fuse box for blown high beam fuses under the hood

Headlight Revolution promptly sent out a replacement for the passenger side, which in recieved today.

Popped the passenger side in today (I'm getting real good at this o_O ) and i swapped the driver's side last week I think.

And speaking of vents on these assemblies, I inspected the old light and replacement and could not locate a single vent. But I located what I am guessing are so-called vent patches, which presumably are a gortex material.

All looks good - for now. I hope they hold up! Start the clock....

This is in full on direct sunlight.

I too had an issue with water getting into the headlight housing. After a trip through the carwash I noticed a significant amount of water inside the housing on my driver side headlight. The passenger side was dry as a bone. I contacted Headlight Revolution, they sent out another headlight under warranty and all is good now. I took it through the carwash again yesterday and no moisture. I'll be curious to see if anyone else expereinces moisture in the units when the wet weather hits this fall, hopefully it was just a fluke incident!

    Yikes

How new is the replacement and how long has the passenger been installed?

Funny when I contacted them they tell me they've never seen it before but turns out that's not true.

I installed the headlights the last week of May. I'm not exaclty sure when it started leaking. I notice water in the headlight after the carwash on July 23, called Headlight restoration that same day and they had the new headlight shipped on July 28th. I received it Tuesday this week and installed it that afternoon. Went through the carwash yesterday no moisture inside! Headlight Revolution's customer service was top notch and they were great about replacing the unit.

I just pulled the trigger on the xb's - Saw the deal HR was running for the Gen 3's, but unfortunately it didn't apply to the Gen 2's. They did give me a 10% off coupon and I ordered both the heads and fogs.

Ordered on Monday and they were at my door by Wednesday. Got them installed today and love the look - it made a world of difference in updating the look of the 2nd Gen.

I took the truck up to a parking garage to check the alignment and it was pretty close, but I did notice the beam on the passenger side was a bit weak compared to the driver's side. I've reached out to HR about this, but they're out for the weekend.

Anyone have any experiences like this? Maybe a defective headlight or am I being too picky?

Looks like a slight blueish color on the passenger side in the 2nd and 3rd pics?

Yep - that's how it looks with the bluish tint - the first pic I used a filter that shows the beam pattern better.

I would definitely look into it. These things are expensive. Alot of us just got used to the motors operating the opposite of the OEM lights. @Headlight Revolution will chime in soon. Where's Caleb? Lol.

I think these light assemblies should be tested to meet a minimum IP rating e.g. IP 67 or 68 rating. Otherwise these light assemblies are not going to stand up with any consistency to car washes or torrential rains.

You would think that should have been done before they were sold, especially at the price they're selling for! I hope mine don't leak. Maybe that was just an isolated incident - I haven't heard of anyone else complain about it.

That's reassuring, thanks. So perhaps more a function of a quality control problem. I am hopeful this is not going to be a recurring and/or frequent issue.

Looks like I might just save money by getting Morimoto vs 2018-2020 headlights, patch harness, and bottom garnish.

The high and low beam fuses are under the fuse box, under the hood. The big one right behind your battery

Should I check the fuse that's on the water that comes with the headlights or should I check the other fuses
