How is your light output? I need to find a really dark area so I can make some adjustments.

Its much better than stock. But finding the darkness this time of year sucks.

I emailed HR support and asked them if the xb fog light kit was street legal, and said they were not DOT approved, so probably not; something they fail to mention on their site.

So here are a couple of output shots. This is with being lifted about 3.5 in the front and the dial set at 3.5. Looks like a hotspot toward the passenger side....little hard to see so I'll need to get better pics on a really dark area. My goal is to get the most useable light onto the road.

Yeah its really hard to tell because a camera will pick up more than your eyes. It looks brighter on camera than it does with me looking at it.

Passenger side does not line up as well as the driver side. Any suggestions?

Ha....you have the same issue as the rest of us. I had to elongate the side mounting hole a little so that I could push the light up. I still have to mess with it some.

Forgot to mention...the Morimoto fogs are not DOT approved. The Rigid SAE's are better, street legal, and the color matches the headlights. For the tails, put in some VLed Tritons for brake and turn, and the 921 high power for reverse.

Which bracket? There is 3 or 4 of us that ended up looking just like his.

the long plastic ones where you attach the screws. Keep the screws loose and try to align with body panels, mine eventually match the body lines

Yeah I did that. I do have to replace one of the nylon inserts though bc it is worn. It may be better after I do that.

For the price of these I couldn’t live with that, I have some cheap eBay tail lights that had a similar problem I was able to fix by sanding the mounting studs and using spacers. Good luck.

Thread has been pretty quiet lol. How are you guys liking the lights so far. Any major adjustments that you guys had to make? Even with the lift and the motors being backwards, my dial is still set at 3.5.

I love mine, couldn't be happier! I adjusted mine at 5 on the dial and they go lower as I adjust to 0, no problem. Mine fit great and the light output is incredible :)

So far so good for me. I posted some pics earlier in the thread. Fitment on the truck is pretty darn good. One night last week I parked on level ground in front of a wall about 25 ft out to fine tune light placement. I did have to adjust the driver side vertically a little to match the pass side and level it up. It was quite easy, an 8mm socket did it much easier than trying to get a screw driver behind the light. Low/high beams all leveled up and light output looks great. Gave them a good coat of chemical guys jet seal I had in the garage hopefully to protect them a bit. Has anyone else used something to seal or protect them?

I'm sure I still need to tweak the alignments some. But it doesn't get dark now until after my bedtime :bored:

I am not getting Notifications for this post for some reason, I have to remember to manually check in here. :annoyed:

The XB LED Fog lights are definitely DOT Approved! The full XB Line-up across the board is fully Approved. :) No worries there!

"Powered: By three Nichia 5500K LED's that produce around 1200 raw lumens per side. The projector based optics concentrate a total of 2400 lumens of pure white light into a beam that's super wide and perfectly distributed for use as a fog light. Make no mistake, these will produce a much different [better] result than slapping some LED replacement bulbs into your stock housings. The XB fogs meet & exceed all SAE, DOT, and ECE regulations."

For those with Odd fitment, is it specifically the Passenger side that is just barely offset from the body line? Has anyone seen this with the Driver side?

Shoot me a PM with some Photos if you could! I am seeing those where they fit Perfectly, then I'm also seeing some here who report odd fitment. If it's a common report, I want to make this known! :) Thank you guys!

It is the passenger side. I'll take pics of mine. I elongated the side mount bolt hole to push the light up and it's still off some. I do have a worn mount grommet on the top so I need to replace that before I mess with it.
