This seems crazy to me, but I’m going to ask it anyways. Should I be worried about buying a Tundra 4x4 4.7 with 300k miles? Frame has some surface rust nothing terrible. Everything seems to work on it power windows and everything. It’s a 1 owner as well guy bought it new in 2006.

Do you have any maintenance records for the truck? Things like the timing belt, lower ball joints, etc. I know you said the frame had some surface rust, but check the inside of the frame rails near the re-enforcement plates, and around the leaf spring mounts.

I bought a near identical truck to this one in 2023 with 207k miles. Certainly had other maintenance needed (master brake cylinder / booster, calipers, suspension, radiator, steering lines and rack, etc).

If the truck is maintained, then I wouldn't mind 300k on a first gen, but if it wasn't maintained, then be prepared for quite a bit of work to get it where it should be.

I'd be concerned with that type of mileage with no documentation of records.

    Imma keep it stock
I bought my 00 in 06 and have maintained the shit out of it. She now has 314k on the odo. As long as dude man can show evidence of maintenance, wouldn't scare me.

With that said, you really need to read and understand this thread. The first 2 posts are crucial for your understanding and decision making. Based on the condition and the fact it has over 300k on it tells me it was well cared for. But, documentation is always nice.
