2006 Tundra Doesn't Want to Shift into Overdrive

2006 Tundra TRD 4WD V8

Transmission doesn't shift into overdrive as it should most time. I can let off the accelerator, tap the tow/haul button, wait a second, tap it again and it goes into overdrive with lower rpm's. Any suggestions? Thanks much.

Potentially a common issue. OD button's wiring gets chafed where it passes through the shift lever, at entry to the column. It's the first thing I'd check.
