    Hi everyone,

I've got 260,000 on my 06 Tundra and have so much rust on my frame that I have been told my left front wheel is about to fall off. I have about 24 inches of rot on my left side rail from front wheel assembly and back. My engine compartment frame has holes about 2-3" wide. I have been rejected for a new frame twice, as my truck doesn't fit their criteria according to Toyota. Anyone have any suggestions? I have notified the NHSTB but don't expect much. The truck runs great and I don't want to dump her.

    Welcome!

What was given as a reason that your truck didn’t meet requirements?

And do you have pics of it? Might help to see what's going on.

Unless you get a new frame the only other option I know of would be to find a donor truck in a junkyard or something and weld the front of that frame on yours:welder:

Here’s one photo It’s my left side rail. I’m going to my mechanic on Monday so I’ll get more especially the wheel area

Toyota only said that I did not meet their criteria for frame recall—-all the other first generation years but 2006.
