2006 Power steering fail

    Toyota used to offer a "recall kit", which included 2 LBJs, and 8 bolts. I don't think you can get it any longer. Today LBJs are "al la carte", and you have to order the bolts separately. As I recall the OEM bolts arrive with a blue/green coating on the threads (as if they have some Loctite like stuff already applied).

    When it’s +5 around here, the schools are closed for a week and everyone works from home.

    My dad grew up hunting in Alaska and he said they used to leave the trucks running, or they would have to make a fire under the oil pan just to get them to turn over. This was in the 40’s and 50’s though.
