There was just one this last Saturday. I haven’t gone in a while because gas prices. I think Yodanights is the first Saturday of every month. We should have our own.

I hear ya. Gas is crazy. I just bought a 97 Camry 2.2l 4 banger for a commuter. I'm not driving the Tundra for a daily anymore. It's the family mobile now. Next time you go to a show, let me know. We can let @HBTundra know.

I had to make a YouTube video to make this work. Here's a clip of my exhaust for those who have been waiting.

Sounds really nice. It's hard to explain but it has a higher pitch tone under load. I assume it's the X-pipes.
The drone is noticeable but that was expected. It's really noticeable in low speeds (0-50mph). When driving on the freeway, the drone disappears. There's a few ways I can tackle it.
One, install resonators. Two, install sound deadening which I was planning to do anyway or I might do both.
I'm going to wait and break in the exhaust and then we'll see what to do.

Thanks! I love the sound but now I’m dealing with drone, which was expected but not this bad.

@2006Tundra . . . are you still thinking of 'Dyna-Matting' your interior? (Sound deadening)
I had a friend years ago do his DC and he swore by it at the time . . . but he was a little weird, and pretty sure he was tweaking at the time. LOL
But I never rode in it before/ after. Seems like a lot of work, a lot of money, and I've heard that stuff is heavy (weight-wise).
    Just curious.

I did SoundSkins on my Tacoma doors. I wasn’t blown away by it. But I’d probably do it again.

I plan to do the Tundra as well.

It’s high effort low reward though. For sure. You have to do a ton of it to notice including floors and headliner as well as back of cab.

    @HBTundra and @daveeasa

I did. On Wednesday I installed Kilmat 80 and Norico red 150mil from Amazon. It didn’t really help at all.
I’ve been reading all day yesterday and most of today about resonators and I hear that Vibrant Resonator 1794 will work (any resonator) should work though. The only spot I can install it is a little after the x pipe and before the muffler. Fingers crossed it will cut down some of the drone. I’m not expecting it to be 100% but I need it to settle down for my 3 month old baby.
I still need to properly break in the exhaust, hopefully that will calm it down too.

Sound deadening to me is like marriage, you just have to go into it with extremely low expectations and maybe you won't be completely disappointed.

    Hahahah!!
I was really hoping it would help. To be honest. I only did the floor and back firewall.
    Fingers crossed on the resonators.

Someone said that "expectations are planned disappointments" But, I think it's time to tell the wife you always expect her to be awesome, because she is. And flowers for no reason. Or Scotch, lol.

So nice!! The drone would piss me off too. That’s the only thing keeping me from getting exhaust work done.

If you want to get some exhaust work, try replacing JUST the muffler. I had a magnaflow and the stock resonator and it was nice.

The only reason I changed it up because I was bored. From what I’m reading and talking to a couple of muffler shops, the resonator will keep the drone down.

Okay I might have to do that! Keep the resonator but maybe even delete the muffler? If not then an aggressive muffler.

I wouldn't delete the muffler. I would replace it with a Magnaflow and dump it before the axle.

Taking the truck in on Thursday to install a Helmholtz resonator. It was recommended to me instead of a "regular" resonator. I get drone starting at 1500 RPM, topping at 1900 RPM and dropping down around 2100 RPM. This should kill the 75% of the drone without sacrificing sound and power. Stay tuned*.
