    Thanks
Yeah me too. I love the truck but ive only owned it almost 4 months and had to put almost $2000 into it in repairs. If I keep having to put money into it I'm going to end up getting something different cause I can't afford break downs every few weeks

Where are you located? I've got a pretty good code reader. Also, I think I mentioned this before but I've got access to all the Chilton Repair manuals so let me know if you need anything.

Any auto store should have a Chilton or something similar. I meant to say I have access to the complete Chilton Online Library.

Ok, I hope this helps, I pulled everything I could find for the starting and ignition system that you could inspect.

Missed one, don't know if this helps since it sounds like you're starter is fine but here's the inspection procedure for the actual starter.

Check this one out too. Says to inspect your timing belt for a jumped tooth. Might not be it but worth a look.

If all else fails, maybe try to splice the wires directly, sounds like it might just be the connector that's bad or shorted out.

I'll let you guys know when I get off of work what code I get and such. How hard is it to replace the connector from the wiring harness that plugs into the sensor? I'm thinking it's something with that because cleaner was helping it before

The new sensor should come with a harness. If you're referring to the truck side, I'd say order a new harness as well and it should come with pigtails and you could use some splice connectors.

Im willing to bet that connector is bad on the ecm side not the sensors side.. Make sure the pins are secure in the connection..

    we will get it fixed.

For that toyota doesnt sell the connector itself. IF you have access to a junk yard that has the connector you can cut the pig tail.

For a solid connection solider the connections with heat shrink tubing.

Yeah I mean on the truck side
They are secure, ive made sure each time I reconnect. Is there a way to replace that whole connector on the truck side without getting into a big electrical mess?

Damn you really need a lab scope to see if your getting pick up past the connection in question.

If you can find the connector you would be lucky..

One thing you can to is make jumpers on all three wires on the sensor side and then use a jumper on the ecm side of the connector. That way you bypass the connection to make sure..

When doing the test leave the connection disconnect.

Could you give me one for the crankshaft position sensor? I can see what it looks like but don't know where it's located

I picked up a new crank sensor for it as the code that came across now was crankshaft sensor. The one before was camshaft sensor circuit a
We will see what it does

The Camshaft sensor and the crankshaft sensor are different, not sure which one exactly you're looking for. Both are above. And I can get you the removal and installation procedures if you'd like them.

Replaced the sensor and still won't start and still getting code P0335. I've ran out of things to clean, and retry and check for these two sensors. I may have to have it towed to the shop and let them take care of it and cut my losses. Ive already spent a week, over $200 in sensors, and lots of cuss words and half a day off work trying to get this thing to start

Do this on the ultra, pause where it has rpms on the screen. Start it and see if it reads any rpms.. only way to test without a labscope off the top of my head here.

You said the timing belt was done not too long ago right?

Read that carefully and next time you try to start, check batt voltage and starting RPM etc. But it might come down to bum wires. I wish I could help more. Let me know if there's anything else I can help with, I hate having a member give up and go to the shop. PDF says most likely its a short or open circuit. Can you trace the wires all the way back?
