I purchased an 05 SR5 with just under 70k miles on it. It has a slow transmission leak in the area where the drive shaft meets the trans. Curious how big of a project that is and what the cause may be? I’ve read some conflicting info on this. I appreciate any suggestions and help in advance

Post up some pictures! From your description it sounds like an output shaft seal, but a picture is worth 1000 words. Rotating assembly leaks are often misdiagnosed due to the slinging nature of the fluid.

    +1 on this.

As a new owner, you may also want to check out this thread. You may end up finding tidibts about other nuisances to expect with your low-mile find. This, coming from another low-mile owner who's had his fair share of low-mile related leaks.
