Removed my rear shift actuator to inspect the other day and after re installing it, the truck now wont go into any gears. The engine revs but nothing will grab. I took it apart again and made sure the gear was "clocked correctly" but still nothing. Does anyone know if I need to have something re set with the trucks computer? It drove fine before I did this. I took it apart because I was wanting to make sure it wasn't full of water since the vent tube had rotted away a bit. There was no water or signs of water inside. Now I'm wishing i never would have messed with it. Any help is much appreciated. I've unhooked the battery to allow it to reset.

When you go into 4Hi, do you get a light indication on dash and on 2WD/4HI button indicator, if that’s what kind you have ?
Have you rechecked that all 3 cables click in place good ?
    Blown fuse ?

If it is indeed a Sequoia, are you sure the transfer case is not in neutral?

Fixed today. Transfer case shaft was all the way in. Pulled it all the way out and it’s moving now

Empty_Lord, I’ve seen your post a couple of times and believe you may be the only one that can help me.... I just joined last night and have a post on actuator post.... kinda long description but I’m NOT a mechanic but looked as if I could fix myself as YouTube.... BUT TO MY SURPRISE MY ACTUATOR was nothing like the one on 2007 ... I have 2006 4.7 limited.... anyway my actuator only has three bolts to separate bottom half ... w/ worm gear and a separate encased motor with small worm gear that you can see after the three bolts off... took motor apart everything was not corroded but now all in pieces... brushes magnets etc.... just got together and have not put on truck yet..... my question is in my previous post I wrote last night....didn’t know there was a front ADD actuator too?? I believe now it may be it or knock on wood the fork that shifts... with the two hookups ..... is front same as back and how do you get to it???
    thx

The front actuator is on the differential tube. It’s a different actuator. I’ll see if I can grab a pic tomorrow, out at the farm right now doing some work.
