If you aren't worried about being discrete when immobilizing, you could just pull the fuel pump relay in the fuse/relay box next to the battery.

Rather than dicking around with the fuel pump itself, which is a PITA to work with, you could just as easily remove, wire into, otherwise utilized one of these three, which tie into the fuel circuit as you'll see in the EWD linked to just now, in that under-hood fuse/relay box.
