Hi folks -- does anyone know whether a 2002 Tundra V8 instrument cluster will fit a 2002 Tundra V6? The reason why I am asking is a friend has a V8 parts truck and my V6 cluster doesn't fully function. Thanks in advance for your replies

There were a couple of recent threads on it.

And there was another where @Sh1tb0x m4nu4l tried installing an '02 cluster in his '04 and it failed miserably.

Same year you may have some luck, but you need to understand, the mileage is stored in the cluster, so your truck will not have accurate mileage, and you can potentially get flagged for fraud and/or have your mileage negated for discrepancies the first time a shop logs the miles, or if someone buys it under false pretense based on mileage.

Pretty sure the V6 and the V8 clusters are different in the way they receive the tach signal.

If you have access to one to try for free you could just give it a shot and report back.
