Hi, new guy here. I'm having a problem with the A/C on my 2002 Tundra w/ 4.7 V8.
When the A/C is turned on, the green light only works some of the time. When it is lit up the A/C blows cold. When it isn't lit up it blows warm. The fan/blower work all the time. Can you point me in the right direction for this?

Probably needs a charge,. How long does the compressor run? It's possible that the system is over-charged and it's shutting the compressor off when it hits the high-pressure limit switch.
Or, it could need a slight charge to keep it off the low-pressure switch. Time to put some gauges on the system and see what it's doing..

    Welcome to the club!

Thanks for the welcome. I'll pick up one of the recharge kits and see what it says.

Check your ground wire to see if its still in good shape. . A couple of months before I acquired my 02 the timing belt was changed but the mechanic forgot to hook up the ground wire that connects to the A/C pump. Welcome from Colorado!
