Hello from San Diego. I recently purchased this 2000 Tundra with 175k miles for $3k. I think I'm the 4th or 5th owner. Prior owners kept a decent history of maintenance work. New radiator, throttle body, ball joints, timing belt replaced and tranny rebuilt a few years ago. No spare tire. This is my first truck and first Toyota. I wish it was a 4x4. I've read that it is a good idea to install bigger front calipers to decrease rotor wear/warping. Also, some chassis modifications to help with the rust issue.

What threads to do you recommend to get started?

Welcome from Utah! I hadn't heard that about the calipers, but I do have some vibration when braking now, believe due to the less than ideal quality rotors. Now I'm curious about the caliper comment you made-maybe that will help w/ my front ones. Replaced the back ones about 6 weeks ago, will get the front ones done after I get my ham radio installed (trying to limit my money pit). My truck's a 2010.
