What was your reasoning to not set your 5100s on the top setting?

I'm considering the bilstein 6112s at the 1.9 setting and I was curious if the headlights would need to be adjusted down with the front end being lifted? Thoughts?

    Thanks,
    Dan

No, you will be fine. You can always use the adjustable headlight control if you want.

Nice looking truck! I'm looking to keep a slight rake also with a shackle in the rear.

Thank you. The shackle makes a huge difference in ride quality.

I wanted a little better ride than at the top and did not want to chance needing uca's. I may go to the top setting soon since was not expecting 2" out of the shackle. I figured I was going to be at 39" up front and 40" in the rear at the 1.5" shackle setting leaving me a slight rake.

Gothca. The ride, to me, doesn't seem that much different. I took the truck in yesterday to Les Schwab and they were able to get the alignment done with ease. I was wondering why your numbers are the same as mine, it's because your tires are 1/2" taller than my OEM ones.

    My measurements are:
    DF/PF : 39"
    DR/PR : 41"

I will go back and add that note to my measurements too, that is definitely note worthy that my stock tires are the 285/55r20's.

Point it at a wall after install, adjust down if necessary. If you don’t have the dash leveler control, you just insert a Philips screwdriver into the adjustment channel and turn either way, you’ll see the light go up or down. I have my driver’s side slightly lower as a courtesy for oncoming traffic.

Depends what you tow and tongue wt. While it might level out or slightly Cali after hook up, the rear bouncing over bumps might bother you with that every so often uneasy loss of control. Airbags would mitigate that.

Thanks for the info. I'll check but I think I will adjust the drivers side as a courtesy also.

Can I ask where you bought from? Did you retain some rake with this setup? Any shins up front?

Got everything through Darren Schmidt directly at Boss4x4s. I have exactly 1” of rake, according to fender measurements with this setup. I have one shim on the driver side.

Nice! I live in the area.... did the better shocks and CB shackles help with bed bounce on I-15? I swear that stretch between fallbrook and temecula exit is a washboard. Lol

nice! I'm sitting at 26" front and 26.75" rear. Might add a little more rake.

Since I maintained 2" of rake, I am already debating on moving the front up to the top setting, or......thinking about how nice 6112's would be lol!

The 6112s were a bad choice for me. They give me much more confidence in the stability and rebound of the truck which leads to me driving it harder. Lol.

It did help. It’s not entirely gone but the bounce is definitely minimized.
