So here’s a sneak peak of one of my big upgrades. Sample photo used. I’m getting the RX catch can, bully dog tuner for flex fuel and more goodies.

 

You can’t have all that power without the power to stop, so I’m having the TRD Big Brake Kit installed as well.

 

I’ve just had the TRD 6 piston caliper big brake kit already installed on the front. I’ll still have the power stop cross drilled rotor on the rear. I like the link you sent but $4k is a lot more than the TRD big brake kit. Most of your braking power comes from the front. So I’m good with my new setup. Thank you for the suggestion though!

I think I see another @Coachbuilder1 rack in your future for the ARE camper shell....

 

I’ve got a plan for that. It’s going to tie in to my build. I think it will look good with my roof rack. I also want to be able to put my kayaks on my roof rack and camper shell.

 

You just gave yourself like 50 more sq ft of space to work with, plus all the cubic feet inside the shell lol. Lights, racks, horns, slides, storage....oh my

You're killing me man. What's the story with the headers and custom BAMUFFLER exhaust? That'll give a few more ponies. Damn I'm so jealous lol

 

I like my JBA long tube headers! I’ve had the 3” mid pipes for a few months but they do not fit. I will have to get a local exhaust shop to cut and reweld the mid pipes I received. It’s been a long and frustrating process unfortunately. I simply don’t have the time to mess with them. Thought about throwing them out if the fabrication cost to fix them is to high.

Hows the power now with the blower and gears? I sure would love to get behind the wheel of that beast.

 

It really needs to be tuned more still. I’ve got to do a few more things yet. It’s running but I’m taking it home from Dallas tomorrow morning back to SA.

 

Can't wait to see these mounted. I wanna paint mine black and blue (color matched to my truck) this summer, either just like that or colors flipped. This will give me a good idea.
I also wanna paint by pro grill insert blue, or at least the main horizontal "bar" of the grill. What do you think?

Here’s a pic of a friends tundra with the grille all blue.

 

I really like that. I can't wait for some warm weather in a few months so I can tackle this. I'll be doing it myself with paint from automotive touchup. I will sand the grill, use adhesion promoter, primer, blue ribbon metallic paint and then clear. Hopefully it comes out nice. I thought about getting some quotes from a body shop for grill and door handles, we will see

 

I’ve debated on seeing the center horizontal part of the TRD Pro grille in a satin black and keep the side pieces in the blue. Then paint the Toyota wording in blue to match. Just a thought.

Make sure and wet sand to remove any orange peel in the paint.

What grit sand paper should I wet sand with?

 

Thank you! I like to do things, I haven’t seen yet. I typically start with a 1,000 then a 1,500 and finally with a 2,000 grit sandpaper. Make sure your using water of course on the sand paper.
