Haha realized that afterwards. Sorry ma'am. Lol. I have a SR5 with the Sport package. Reason I went with the Sport is because I didn't wanna deal with the chrome. Check out the SX package if it's available in your area. It's low $40k and it has no chrome with black wheels already. My MSRP was close to $49k. I've look for a few months thinking the pandemic will give a deal on car buying, I was wrong, turn out to be the opposite especially with trucks. Usually big volume dealerships doesn't mark up the price. Not sure where you are but I know a couple in my area that doesn't, them having inventory is another story though.

The TRD package doesn't preclude you from doing anything with a lift, you're just paying for some things you are going to end up not using, such as the upgraded shocks and wheels.

on your profile is that a trd pro or the sr5 with trd packages and sport, or you have another truck? See, at first I wasn't feeling the chrome either, but the more I see on the street the more I fall in love LOL. there's so many packages that I don't even know what has what now lol, I have this form that details what each package has, but you know the whole shenanigans that in order to have that pckg you need this pckg and bla bla. The truck I had my eye on is a 21 sr5 CM 4x4, standard eqpmnt MSRP- $41,020 then with all the eqpmnt added on the truck MSRP is $49,883. which has trd off road pckg plus, sr5 upgrade pckg, convenience pckg?? what you think. And yeah with this pandemic going on, deals "would be pretty good", is that not the case with you? I am in Arizona, what about you. I haven't heard much sales going on with Tundra, but other competitors oh yeah, most def. Lol I wonder why...

Thanks man, and yeah the upgraded "shocks & wheels" is true. Is it worth it, Nah not really. Too bad that specific truck I have my eye on has it as well as other pckgs.
Oh and that website Fuelly, what is that?

Fuelly is a website/app for tracking your fuel mileage. You'll see it in other's signatures around here. I happen to have developed it as part of my day job.

My truck is a SR5 with TRD Sport package then I replaced the rims with Pro rims so at a 1st glance it can look like a Pro. A few things to consider, if you're gonna plan to lift the truck don't get a TRD package because the suspension that comes with it will most likely be replaced anyways if you're lifting the truck. If I would've known that I would have went with the SX. I'm in California, there's a dealership in Reno Nevada (Dolan Toyota) that doesn't mark up their trucks. Only problem now is I'm not sure if you can order with what packages you want. Sometimes the things that are included is not useful to some. I would say just wait it out if you're not in a hurry and see how the inventory is in the upcoming months.

I’ve got a 2017 CM SR5 TSS with the 5.7 that I bought new in Arkansas.
My current servicing dealer in Oklahoma isn’t budging on the price whatsoever. I only have 36k miles and actually thought about moving into a 2020 just for giggles. I’m gonna stick where I’m at.

Ok no wonder I'm like hmm kinda has a Pro look. And yes that's what I was told about the TRD Pro, unable to lift it cause of the suspension I'm sure there's a way regardless but ya know what I mean. so does that mean you wanted to lift your truck? I went on the Dolan Toyota website and saw their inventory, pretty straight forward. Surprised on the low amount of "views in the past 7 days" its low compared to what I see over here haha. So to be honest, I don't fully know what I want. I need to sit down focus and review everything very well, just so many things, and most of them I'm like hmm do I need that, no. Is it nice, yes lol. I want to wait it out and see what comes up the next weeks/months like you said, but then I might feel like I passed on a truck that I really liked (Tempe Toyota)

Just got back from the dealership. Traded in my 2019 trd sport Taco 6mt on a 21 sr5 CM xsp with leather and some other stuff. Dealer gave me 36,550 for the taco. Didn't take much more off though. Msrp was 52,186 and before trade price was 47,680. That was after walking out two separate times. Was called back today and they said its a go.

1 more tip I can give you is let's say there is a rebate and low APR promo. You can only take -either or-promo so what I did was I took the rebate then I went to a credit union who was able to give me a lower rate than what Toyota was offering as their "lowest" rate promo. When you are ready, talk to a credit union and whatever rate they give you is good for 30 days, giving you time to find a vehicle.

Oh nice that's true, thx for sticking by I appreciate it. literal 1st time buyer. The whole credit union ordeal is still iffy to me. So basically what I can do is go to the dealer "set a price" see what the APR will be etc, and take those numbers and shop around for other lenders and see their APR, terms etc?

You want to have the financing squared away before so you can walk in, get the price you want and do the deal. If they give you a price you like, then you say, "I'll get back to you once I find financing I like", you might lose the truck.

I just bought my '20 DC TSS in San Antonio and I live in northern Minnesota. You don't have to ship the truck if you enjoy a road trip! I had a great time, and it's a nice ride in a Tundra. I looked for about a year, and I missed deals on 5 previous trucks because they sell so quickly.
Anyway, if you start to look at an SX just be aware that they only come with the 26 gallon tank (unless they changed that for '21). The 38 gets me over 500 miles of range with a full tank.
If you're still looking at that '21 CM Off Road with convenience... sounds like one to buy. I only wish my truck had the convenience package, but you can't get it on a TSS.

I’ve bought and shipped two trucks from >1000 miles away, its pretty simple. Schedule, let the dealer know, they give a date and pick it up, you pay them when they drop the truck off with you. I had both dealers offer to ship, both wanted twice as much and was a rip off. Just schedule the shipment yourself if you go that route.
I had my Tundra shipped from KY to ME for about $900 in May because it was the only rust-free, low-mile inferno 2018 TRD in the country that popped up after looking for over 6 months. Shipping my Tacoma from WI to ME was $1100 in 2017. (And my grand cherokee from VA to ME when I got out of the military was only $550, but that was ten years ago..)

im in same boat as OP, first time tundra buyer. im in DFW area and theres literally only tss trucks here. you cant find TRD off road or sports let alone finding 2020. i have called around dfw and no one has TRD offroad.
reason why i want TRD offroad is 1. i want OEM LED headlights 2. push button start (surprised toyota still make key cranks) 3. offroad version has AT tires instead of street tires on TRD sport.

My question is that is there any dealership person here on forums who is willing to help find what i want and most importantly give good deal.

Just purchased my 2021 Cement SR5 CM 4x4 TSS Off-Road for $45,600 otd. And traded in my 2019 SR5 Cement CM 4x2 and got 38.5k for trade in. Took some multiple dealership shopping to get them to beat each other to get the best deal. ACV for my trade was at 35.4k got an extra 3.1k for the back and forth effort. This was at South Toyota in Dallas, Tx.

If you live in the DFW area go speak with a salesman named Christian at South Toyota he can find the truck you want and will look everywhere for it. That’s how I got my cement SR5 4x4 CM. If you want his info lemme know. He got me a good deal also. See my post on this thread.

Congratulations on finding your new tundra.
I will definitely get in touch with that person and see if he can help find my specific need. A quick question, does your tss offroad has key to start or push button start? My main wishlist is push button start and thats why im looking for trd offroad.

It is key crank. Some SR5 with the leather package come with PBS. Just let Christian know what you are looking for regarding options and he'll do alot for ya. Christian Cappiello 972-780-1166 ext:211. Tell him Ricardo referred you.

I usually go to Arkansas or Missouri, but had good luck in Tulsa on the last three Toyotas. Might try Jim Norton in Tulsa, I can message you my contact person there if you’re still in the market. I picked up a CrewMax 4x4 SR5 TSS for $8k off MSRP in August, and purchased a RAV4 there last month for a similar discount percentage.

I usually search nationwide for price and then try to get someone local to match, or at least within a couple hundred miles. Toyota is still offering $4500 rebate on the 2020 TSS in Texas and Oklahoma, perhaps other states as well. Might be worth a road trip. Good luck.
