Gotta take geography into account on some of these. In and around Bend, OR is a ritzy area, filled with people that have money to burn. The seller would never ask that price if it were in nowhere AR or OK.

I think it's a toss up between Seattle and Portland. It's not just Tundras, but Tacos too.

The only reason I bought my old taco was because I wanted a manual. As it turns out I wanted a v8 more than a manual.

I had one, once, but it was an F150. I don't really miss it all that much for some reason. Got broken into in SF and a few hundred hours of install work torn apart. That was a good indication that it was time to move. The other was trying to parallel park an MT F150 on the streets of SF mid dot com boom.

Good decision. I can't imagine the kind of stress living somewhere like that would cause. I suspect this country would be a whole lot less grumpy and scared if everyone had a bit more elbow room.

Abundance tends to promote peace. Abundance also promotes complacency and complacency doesn't exactly promote abundance.

Mostly I mean lower population density also lowers anonymity. This country does have an abundance of land though.

That's what I mean too. More or less anyway. It's always more friendly when there's more distance between driveways. More room for other people's problems to stay their problem and not mine.

1938 is still greater than 1730.

We won’t even discuss Saggy Rear on your turds as there are plenty of Threads you can go to.

    And 1440 is greater than 1366. :p

Pretty sure as things age they naturally sag. The Tundra is getting pretty long in the tooth as far as vehicles go, so a little sag is to be expected.

Yes, sadly, the 2.5 gen trucks were designed more as passenger vehicles than trucks. I still couldn't go with any other 1/2 ton as my only mode of transportation. I'll work within the limits, and do my best not to whine. Though I don't notice any sagging when I hook up my trailer with the SxS on it. Not the biggest load (that's what she said), but it's about all I tow with any regularity.

Yeah. My buddy (never a truck guy) bought a 2018 Tundra and thats when I understood they were passenger trucks.

It's a great truck for 99% of the truck buyers out there. Most don't go off road, tow, or haul. They just like to say they have a truck. A Ridgeline would work for most... I was originally looking at midsize trucks, but they aren't that much less expensive than a 1/2 ton, and the performance is significantly better in the full size trucks.

Anyway, back to 1st gen awesomeness. Toyota had so much faith in the reliability they didn't even bother leaving easy access to the starter. :stirthepot:

Glad I'm not the only one that saw that. The part that would give me pause is the bit about "no cosmetic or mechanical issues" and then you look at the pic of the tailgate with big ol' dents in it. If that qualifies as no cosmetic issues, then what mechanical problems are being glossed over. :monocle:

Just about every listing in the Atlanta Metro area gives me pause... if you are going to see & test drive a vehicle in the area, you want to have back-up in case it goes sideways.

These days, I don't care what state or city it is. Best policy is to arrange the meeting at a local PD, and to be armed. The quality of people has been in decline for a long time, and it seems to be getting exponentially worse.

Yeah. It didn’t help when they let all the Felons out of Local Jail for ‘Scary Virus’. None of them are going back to let themselves in and at the same time Goofy Legislation is reducing the penalties for bad behavior. A lose lose situation. We all know what the problem is but can’t directly say it here.

You won't hear much about it in the news, but Atlanta is 2nd only to Chicago when it comes to illegal gun ownership and use. The new 'knock out game' is for thugs to pull along side a random car while traveling down the highway just so they can open fire on the unsuspecting vehicle... I no longer run service calls inside the I-285 beltway, not without a tail gunner.

Dead stock with oem 16" starfish wheels. We'll see how long that lasts. :) Topper of unknown origin.
Once I get a few more photos, I'm going to post my 2003, 230K mile 1GT on Craigslist across the country for $32K just for fun. I figure I'll get a few reposts with fun comments here and I may reel in some coastal stupid money. Wish me luck. The odds are in my favor if y'all post yours for $35K.

On the flipside, this beautiful, 65K mile, incorrectly titled (F2-50), grandpa 1990 F-250 has sat on Craigslist for three weeks. I e-mailed them to take it to BaT. I'm tempted to buy it just 'cause it's soooo red and low mileage...
