32K is possible, especially on BaT. On a side note, does anyone know if the OP is posting on other sites?

searching for fgt brings me to this thread seems like a perfect storm happened with truck shortages and ppl realize the value of the overlooked early tunny. the prices are loco tho.

Just went over 45,000 miles last week.

Local Toyota dealer guys had a circle jerk around the truck when I stopped in to see if the frame recall was still open on mine even though mine is spotless. They wanted me to trade it in for a new one....no thanks.

Older people. I plan to do the same myself when I get closer to dead. Why not, can’t take it with you.

Some people just need to drive to Home Depot and back once a month. Their daily driver is something completely different.

Question is how do you maintain trim/seals from drying out when it's long past the date of parts being made?

armorall. And you have to pick the ‘right’ day to mess with the plastics. If its too warm, things might bend that shouldnt, and if its too cold, thinks might snap.

keep it indoors or it’ll fade.

I personally prefer 303. It's got UV protectant, seems to soak in and spread, and is water-based so it won't attract dust as much (supposedly). I've used the stuff on rubber that's gotten gummy even, and it makes it virtually tack-free after setting up a while.

8,000 miles / 20 years = 400 miles per year or 33 miles per month. There are a number of scenarios where this can happen but they're not very common, that's for sure. Grandkids selling Grandpa's truck seems the most likely though.

Somehow I picture someone who doesn't drive their truck doesn't really have the time to maintain it. Most i could see is a car cover with it in the garage and maybe once a month turning it over and that's wishful thinking.

I don't know about you, but I would rather build an $8500 2WD +15K that I could jump over a near 40K stock 4WD. For that money, I'm already in Gen 2+
