    Hey everyone,
I recently got rid of my beautiful 2014 green Tacoma TRD sport for a 2004 tundra. I know I know, quite the change, but i kept getting rear ended by texting 16 year olds and the time I was spending at my buddies body shop was really adding up. That, having another kid and inheriting a boat, I figured maybe a full size rig that already had hit everything except the lottery was in order. Thanks for listening to all that, it felt like therapy.

Here's my question: has anyone put the Bilstein 5100s on their 1st gen and achieved a "leveled" look with that style of suspension lift? On paper it lifts the truck 3 inches, but the 5100s are adjustable. Can I leave the rear 5100s at stock height and just raise the front to 2-2.5 inches? I'm only looking to run a slightly bigger tire, nothing crazy, so I'm not anticipating any rubbing issues with maybe some say 285 70 17's but maybe they will rub? Any help or experience in this matter would be greatly appreciated.

    It's the limited 4x4 model

You should be able to just raise the front, if I remember correctly the rear 5100's can be used at stock height to 1.5" of rear lift. It'd probably be smart to raise the rear at least an inch if you're towing.

Yeah I figured the back end would come up a bit, for that same reason. I did the same thing on my Tacoma but I had to raise the rear, it wasn't an option, cuz I put a add-a-leaf in the back. Thanks for the input

Something I ran into attempting to do 5100's on my 04 DC, if the fronts have been replaced with Monroe Quikstruts the springs will not fit. I had to get some cheap shocks to run in the meantime.
