I know ARB does crash tests with their bumpers, do any of the other makers? Ihate to buy solely on appearance. Need protection from deer.

Crash testing is big $$$ but I can tell you from 6 deer experiences fastest one hit at 60mph our aftermarket bumpers won't budge. Slowest speed was 35. Road I grew up on was very deer heavy. My mom has also hit a few in her FJ and I haven't even finished fabbing her bumper

Unless I own or have a friend with the same vehicle as you I build my bumpers custom one off on your rig. I have built them for the first gens. I'm not a production shop. I do any and all fab work off-road or not.

Updated the first post to include the new hybrid bumper from Brute Force Fab. I wish this was an option when I bought mine.

We are changing some shit temporally, before we change it for ever, mostly for the sake of change and justifying our existence on the payroll by making it look like we are fucking doing something. But also just so we can drag it out because we arent even sure what the fuck we are doing. Oh, btw, the changes are going to be illogical, produce inefficiency, and generally make your job harder. Good luck little buddies:thumbsup:

I'm sure its been talked about before in here but for those that don't know Coastal Offroad has a bunch of WIY options including front and rear bumpers, swing outs, and rock sliders available for the 1st gens. These come in 1/4" aluminum or 3/16" steel and has several options including body lift adjustments, light cut outs and swingout accessories. These are very well engineered items that can stand up to all the abuse.

If anyone is interested in picking one up soon, we are currently running this group buy with them. 15% off all products for all signups and an additional 25% off of shipping for those that can do group shipping. Details in this thread: https://www.tundras.com/threads/bumpers-sliders-skids-group-buy-all-makes-models.140683/

I mean if you're thinking about selling the brush guard, I doubt anyone would try to convince you otherwise.
Most people tend to prefer a steel bumper

And most of the time I see them, they're listed for week after week and month after month, just like tonneau covers. Those two accessories seem to languish, the reality is, people just don't buy those items used very often.
