@daveeasa, I left the Blue Sea breaker in there, but for the #2 to (2) #10 and the #8 to #8 splices, I found some heavy tinned butt connectors. No plastic on these things, huge. I used a battery terminal crimper and then sucked in some solder. I think they are as fused as it gets.

Every day you get further ahead of me. You are the master of time management I think. My life is sucked away by kids.

You know, I was just thinking to myself. My ideal floor mat would also cover the hump in the middle. I’d pay big money for that. How nice would it be to have a full rubber surface across the width of the truck.

No, I just sleep less, and work a 4/40, so I have an extra day on most. My stuff gets messed up all the time. Today is a good example. I nailed it with a 0530 wakeup and a dog walk 0600-0730. Waited for an hour to take the kids to school, let's go, people. Sweet, now it's my time. But grandma zip tied some sail shade to an awning before a wind storm. Need new wall anchors. Need some terminals for me. And, while I'm out, look at ARB fittings. Just over an hour. Nope. West Marine is now winter hours. Closed. 4WP Parts is open, back where I came from. Saw a tank but a waste of time. Which Home Depot for the anchors? The one closest to West Marine. It's not that close turns out. West Marine is open and store keepers are in a coma. It's almost noon and I have some anchors and some terminals. Fix the damn awning. Start to open the truck, Late notice kids Picture day for swim team. Need order forms and payment in like 30 min. WTF? There was also a 30 min delay on a 20 minute drive to the closed West Marine because the pool was broken and the girl has JOs on Thursday, and I need to register on a recreation website to get her a lane for an hour so she doesn't lose a day of training. I got lucky because grandma took the kids for the picture. I had 3 hours to finish wiring and put the truck back together. I'm looking at the diff oil I wanted to change yesterday. Somehow that became too hard to fit in. I'm not managing anything, just stealing time where I can.

    Nicely done.

I guess the wiring stuff really takes a chunk but I'm not super game for working on the truck in the driveway in the dark when it's cold. I did 4-5 hours last night getting caught up on that stuff. Have to build one 2G DIR tonight. Schlepping and ordering are a bit of a bugger. Daytime is just a s-show for me though, can't dream of opening up the truck (also don't have the Tundra on site but I do have Tacoma mods which languish...)

exactly like my back seat. I know they made those for older trucks way back, Right? Someone should be making them now I would think.

Well, I am in a better position in that regard. On a normal day off, kids are at school and mom is at work and no one needs me on hand. So, there are quite a few hours in a week where I can do what I want.

My wife works from home and frowns at me in the garage, she'd frown much harder if I were in the driveway. And one kid is only M-W-F until the fall and school for him is done at 1:30 so it's invasion. Plus the housecleaners on Wednesdays right in the middle of quiet time.

I need a batcave somewhere I think. That would rule but would sure be pricey in this town.

Yeah, I'm sure I got 8-12 years on you and my kids have stuff for sure, but they are older and do a lot on their own. I would be completely fucted if my wife worked from home. Well. not completely, she supports my batshit interests to a point and I'm really good at finding wins.

my top priority when moving to the hill country was to find a cave. When that didnt work i settled on river access.
Realtor wanted to look inside the house, and i was like ‘no thanks, ive seen the pictures’ and would wander around the properties.

Ah, they are normally open at 0800. I guess they shortened their days in SoCal winter. So, I was there at 0900 and found a sign that said open at 1000...

I’m rollin 35’s on stock gears, with the 4 speed. It’s workin for now since I’m not burdened by the extra unnecessary weight of a DC. Really tho, Ive got a set of 4.88’s I won’t be using. Planned on it because, 35’s. Decided against it because, most my miles are 80+mph (again, with the 4speed) and now gas prices. If you’re interested hit me up.
Not sure what you need exactly, but the set I have is rear ring and pinion gears only.

If I just violated any site laws, spare me. I’m ignorant.

Gas jumped to 4.259 for 87 octane today.
    Hooray.
It officially costs me $16/day to drive the truck to work.
I've been driving Kelly's Audi. It runs on premium, but it gets ~28mpg instead of 14.

It hit 5.69 here, some stations are at $6 and change. Somehow Costco managed to stay at 4.93 and a 7-11 is at 4.73. Wild variances here.

Bittersweet day today. Had this thing for 8 years and it was my first vehicle. This market was good to me but I hate to see it go. I also hated seeing it sit in my side yard unused for the last year or so though. Life moves on.
