The stepmom has one of those at their palm desert house. My kids have done a decent job of beating on it and hiding in it. I’m betting it won’t last another 3 years.

my kids break things pretty efficiently.

I almost put some of those hinges on my drawer setup to where it would do something like this.

@alb1k please do tell how well the solo arms work out. I’m curious how the lack of steering stops will affect day to day

I don't understand why that feller on FB selling them @FirstGenVol calipers won't just post a price instead of PMing everyone individually.

@chrisb considering gas prices, your break even period just got shorter if you buy a cheap car to commute in.

Also, forgot to circle back to the Dual Sport bike discussion. I'm signed up for a 2 day class to learn how to ride later this month. Might be great timing to have a bike that gets 45 MPG. That's how I'll win my wife over.

The pics that have been posted don’t like like complete units, so maybe there is more fab left to do on them; they also picture a uniball arm set up, so maybe the regular oem bj set up will have steer stops

When I talked to the guy on the phone about this topic he mentioned steering stops apply. I guess it’s mostly a concern at / near full lock with impact off road which might push past lock? In which case does the steering limit take the hit?

Seems like improved turning radius would be a nice side benefit.

Oh nice, did you order a set as well? I’m assuming they come with bushings?

I’m not sure on the bushings.

I do what Erik / Dan / you tell me to :)

Wish someone would make the call on the Eaton for me too.

I also have no idea how to install and I hesitate to ask Jason to do more for me so I may see if the alignment shop will throw them in during their session.

The stops are missing on the Tacoma versions. I’m sure it’s not hard to add. I’m just curious

I’m very interested in them. It would solve my caster vs camber issues

Tacoma has a better turn radius despite super similar wheelbase.

    3rd gen Tacoma: 40.6 diameter / 20.3 radius off 127 wheelbase

    1st Gen Tundra: 44.3 diameter / 22.2 radius off 128 wheelbase

Not to get all semantical or anything, but ... is it actually oil? I know it was created as a water displacement agent (hence the "WD"), but for some reason I have it stuck in my head that it's not considered an oil and shouldn't be used as such. Sure behaves like it when you spray on certain things though, like paint.

I’ll post when they show up before doing anything with them. Those pics do look like a uniball in there. How weird would a ball joint shaft into uniball be? Weird I think. Yeah, no steering stops, that’s for sure.

The definition of a millionaire would be one who’s assets are worth more than a million. By that definition, my parents collecting social security are millionaires since their house alone is worth $750k.
