The heavy 150? With 7 lug wheels, or maybe it was a 250 with the 150 body?

yea, i took grandmas 3v to the shop for plugs. But they didnt have any trouble, so it was cheap. Ive never had trouble with the 2v 6.8 or 4.6.

i’ve got a wantin’ for a short stroke v10. Preferably with ?144? Degree firing.

I wish I still had the sticker from my ‘97 F150. It was a fun truck. Wrong choice given my living situation as it evolved but kind of fun.

Having the extra back door only on the passenger side was interesting. I could see the logic of loading from the curb and the extra cab rigidity for the driver. But it also made the space behind the driver seat a bit more of a pocket that was hard to access.

Got invited to a party tonight. Should be drank, and smoke with some old friends and new candidates.

I might be giving 18" tonight, but I'd have to lick it and stick it 6 times, and donkey punch my way to 18" cumulatively.

I had to sanity check this today myself to make sure I'm not nuts. I don't get in the engine bay a lot these days and haven't on this truck a lot so it's not like I'm a master mechanic.

I timed myself. It took me 8 minutes from start to finish with the belt install. Looks like there are two tricks here: 1) Pop off your intake, shift the air intake assembly back, then zip-tie the refrigerant hose out of the way. 2) How you start the routing is critical, it also helps if you use your long wrench/serpentine belt tool to hold a little tension on the tensioner. I had my skid plate off already, I guess that's important?

    I'll drop pics of this:

This took me about 2 minutes to do and only wasted 1 zip tie, it left things pretty wide open to work on the belt. Five 10mm bolts total, including the 4.7 iForce cover if you have one.

    upload_2022-1-30_16-36-57.jpg

After this, I inserted my long wrench on the tensioner pulley. Lifted and popped belt off the 1st pulley below the intake, snaked the belt out, left the wrench sitting on the fan clutch with tension. Easy to do if you use a ratcheting wrench.

Reinstall I followed this path, if memory serves. No need to futz around with shit. Just start by inserting the belt from pass side to driver side and wrap around the A/C pulley (1) and leave the excess above the power steering pulley as shown, for reasons. Get under the vehicle, pull the middle of the belt down to wrap it around the harmonic balancer (2) leaving the passenger side above the power steering pulley still. Take the slack and route the belt around the power steering and alternator pulley, (3) and (4). From this point, my wrench was already in place with tension, so all I had to do was lift that last section of belt (red arrow) from top to bottom of that upper pulley while lifting the wrench. Then just let the wrench fall back against the fan clutch and check if the belt is properly seated. Pic ... and I hope this helps?

I got confused. You said you checked for fuel and spark. Then ... "Still no spark". It's cool, I casually smoke crack, uh, I mean "don't proofread" sometimes too. ;)

(Actually, all jokes aside, I never, ever proofread worth a shit and have probably said some super confusing shit on here over my tenure)

That makes three of us then. Because my boy and girl are the same. I legitimately think it's either some 'power in numbers' mentality, showing off to one another, or sibling rivalry of trying to outdo one another, or (D) all of the above.

Normal for GA, you can thank ATL for that. A good portion of private drivers (hired drivers) drive black GM SUVs (i.e. luxury airport people movers, basically) and they fall under the limo category. You can confirm by looking for a small white sticker on the bumper with a red airplane outline on it.

One of my ex g/f had a 240, that thing was fun as hell. Even as an auto!

I think I'm going to test a new browsing approach here. Rather than read thread titles on the left, I'll try looking at who posted/responded on the right - I definitely know who I want to hear from. I'm sure I will fail my own trial, but...

No, I love it. I realized I respond too much to random threads like Husky vs, WeatherTech.

TWC is predicting 3-5" of snow on Wednesday and 8-12" on Thursday for my area.

Who wants to place a friendly wager on what we'll actually get?

I'm saying 4-6" total for the two days.
