Proper genius comes through people like eric buell or nikola tesla or carrol shelby. If you’re not a thomas edison or ducati or ferrari fan, you’re wrong. Because reasons. Harry from days of thunder gets washed out.

Did 5 minutes of reading on LS swap. Enough to postpone thinking about it for at least 6 months :) :) :)

Helping a good friend do a LS swap in his 4 door jeep. The stock engine was gutless

Tesla does some good engineering, they just are a crappy automobile manufacturer. missing parts, ridiculous wait times for repairs, door handles that fall off when used in ice conditions.... i know someone with a new Tesla, piece of trim fell off. It holds inner & outer fender to each other. 2 months until they were ready to take the car in for repair, a month until it was given back. Loaner car - an old Corolla. Original delivery was 3 months late.
The car build - bad, really bad.
    The engineering, pretty good.

    Didjaknow?
I read about a lawsuit against Tesla because a guy bought a Tesla, optioned it out with all the features. When he sold it they reset it to a base car with a software 'update'. New owner has to buy all the upgrades. That's Apple class shady business. Buy the stock, but don't own the product type of company.

If you can develop and produce your own DIR, you can swap an LS into anything. It’s incredibly easy. Don’t let the internet psych you out.

Plastic intake manifold tanks for the Porsche. I currently have aluminum tanks.
(Adding lightness to the new EFI setup.)

I sure paid for something other than frustration. :D
I'd like it to get here before the weekend, but I'm not in a dire hurry.

**The muffler I ordered is coming UPS and I expect it to get here sooner despite the tracking showing CO this morning and not IN.

I'm surprised it didn't hang out in California longer. Now that it's in your state I'm guessing it might show up Sunday.

Last time those dumb cu^ts shipped me some stuff, they shipped it to that exact depot and then to KY for a couple days before sending it back to IN to the right depot.

I have such little faith in FedEx.

As a point of reference, it's less than 75 miles from this depot to my house.
The parts got there last night at 2230.

Ordered these bad boys December 8th https://www.ebay.com/itm/293470918933 When I was working on the actuators yesterday I started looking through my pile of parts and could not find them for the life of me. After I was done working last night I pulled up the order on eBay. Says the estimated ship date is Jan 27th! Almost two months!!

That's the part of eBay I hate the most.
Some sellers ship immediately, some not so much.
And within the subset of not shipping in a timely fashion are the absolute wankers who print a label immediately and don't drop the parcel at the shipper for days/weeks/months/years/ever.

They're all going to the same ring of hell as everyone at FedEx.

It's only a matter of time before all of that becomes 2nd nature and you can drive through congested city neighborhoods like Southie in Boston at 2am in the morning with 2-3" of clearance on each side in similar conditions.
