Pop the center out of the wheel, bolt it back up, lower the truck, then stand on the end of the breaker bar. If that doesn't work, flip the bar around and put the jack under it.

I'm wondering if this breaker bar might break first. I put my entire weight on it and it started to bow. Considering just going to get an impact. May try your suggestion first.

Well. I gave it one more shot and got it. Then I promptly pulled a @bmf4069 and snapped a LBJ bolt. Not quite sure what my next step is.

If they’re machine thread, grab the part that’s exposed and continue it on thru the spindle in the normal direction

Just get that Milwaukee 2767-20 Impact. It will save a bunch of headaches. @FirstGenVol

    3 choices I see.
    1. Weld a nut on it and turn it out.
    2. Heat it and try to grab it with some vise grips.
    3. Drill it out. Start small and work your way up drilling slowly.

I would soak it in PB or kroil, or your choice of penetrant, maybe take a torch to it, and vice grips and try removing it in reverse. You have threads exposed on either side, so you can send it whichever way you want, just send untouched threads whichever way your going

Alright. Toyota doesn't stock the bolts naturally. I'm running to Napa to see if they have any. I'll attempt surgery when I return. I don't have a way to weld or a torch. May have to grab one.

Thats Hurtsville right there. Need a torch and some vice grips. If that doesn’t work, might need to drill it out which looks to be at least a 6 carbide tip bits job.

The weird thing is that the bolt was turning. It wasn't stuck. Shouldnt have snapped.

That’s a good thing if it was turning, maybe the tables will TURN in your favor!
Definitely soak it in penetrant and you could probably work it back and forth, in and out, all nice like; and it would come out relatively easy

Maybe the turning was shearing effect?

I’ve had that happen on a water pump bolt on my old 2.7l taco, super scary!! But I knew that’s what it was doing, so I stopped, gently went in reverse.....and saved it!!! The bolt felt apart in two in my hand after I removed it, I bought a lotto ticket, nothing exciting followed.

Shearing is tricky, but does have a certain feel once you know about it.

Man I'm exhausted. Been fighting with the new axle for an hour. Can't seem to tap it into place. Really need a 2nd person to hold while I tap.

Use the outer as a slide hammer to gently tap the inner into place, make sure the C clips opening is facing down

Tried that a few times. Most people just tap the metal lip that's past the inner boot. I'm not sure what the issue is but I'm about to call it quits for the night.

Edit- so tired I can't type.
