I told him that I had a 12 pack of modelo in the back of the truck. He said that was his favorite. But he's on the clock. No drinky drink

It’s a test but one you can’t possibly fail. Unless you take the $50 and go buy some coke or something.

Yeah but failing means he never gets sent on food run again, at least without explicit instructions.

I decided on options. Returned with breakfast platter with ham and biscuits and gravy platter from Hardee's.

Let the big boss decide. He decided on biscuits and gravy which left me with the platter.

Gave him his change back before food as I thought that was most important gesture.

I’m certain a crafty fella like yourself knows that a bumper made of leaf springs will be ornamental only. Right?

Of course. The weight might not be good for the crumple zones.

but if you saw that, you’d probably pick someone else to cut in front of, right? And tempering, cutting, welding, drilling, it would all suck. Then to be dicked over by a cow or someone else with a steel bumper, would hurt my feelings more, the more work that goes into it.

    all bumpers are ornamental.

In the early 2000’s on the hotrod magazine forum i watched a guy build a right side drive ‘69 camaro for austrailia. Lots of labor, but it had a rowdy zz572, and the guy had a video of a mile long burnout

i’ve been looking hard at the ford barra, and those little inliners holden build and wanting one.

but ive driven a RSD 240sx and didnt like it. And i played the ozzy forza horizons and didnt like driving on the wrong side of the road.

Man I like this. If I just hadn’t built a bumper I would steal this idea. Can’t wait to see where this goes. Good idea!!

The taco springs (short) are almost symetrical, but the tundra springs are more offset. The 2gen tundra springs are just a hair long between the front and the pin, but might work out with long or double shakles. I’ll take measurements when it warms up.

The bottom leaf of the ‘16 tundra spring is dummy thick. It’ll be better as a foot for the air compressor i’ve been planning.

Well, decided to cancel the order on the Milwaukee stubby impact wrench by not picking it up when it was available.

Just ordered this set for $349 instead @ 1/2 off which I think is a much better deal...(got the HD credit card for $50 off).

That's some good news, definitely good eating right there. Alligator tail steaks are off most people's radar, but amazing.

Here's some bad news. While working on the truck today, I noticed half a dozen drops of oil on the floor. Looking like valve cover gasket isn't holding (bolts confirmed tight).

Just driving back from taking kid #2 for a haircut and I’m behind this beauty. Pristine AF minus a small scratch on passenger rear fender flare. Everything mint and cherry, gotta be low miles and covered parking. Possibly a nursery work truck based on the hat she was wearing. I was tempted to follow her and try to get a number. She was old enough she might not have even called the cops.

5 day Rona test came back positive as well. Looks like I may be home from work next week too.

3rd test is Monday so we'll see what that is.

Its crazy where I am trying to figure out which town has a local mandate for the mask and which ones do not. Seems to change every so many weeks or so.

Strangely nobody has said anything to me. I just noticed it when I was in certain towns that everyone seemed to have a mask.

Had to look it up online to find out what towns will fine you if you get caught without one.

I have one that hangs around my neck. If someone gripes or there's a sign posted in the store window, slide the straps over my ears, and done.
