Update on the donation center we set up over the past few days.

We filled 40,000 square feet in a day and a half with organized, usable, and ready to go donations.

Food has been organized for easy to pick up packages for quick loading as coupled with personal hygiene products, cleaning products, adult/infant diapers, Mens/women's clothes, shoes, jackets, toboggans, hot hands warmers, pet food, space heaters, tarps, building materials, tools, and much much more.

We had loads come in from Washington STATE. That's a four day drive! Bonkers! Loads from Texas, Pennsylvania, California, and one from somewhere in souther Canadia!

I am very proud of my community, and for the fine men, and women who pitched in along the way. I only wish that I had more time to give to them as it is a just cause.

I definitely need a beer now. I only knew this because I was reading up on 7443 bulbs for the front corners when I got the vleds. Apparently there are two styles. I was lucky enough to have 2 spare 15 amp fuses. All self induced pain. The broken tab is more from the one minor fender bender this truck had while the PO owned it, that side is just slightly tighter than it should be and it made getting the corner out a beyotch.

Pretty sure airbag transfers, just not the cover. You'd need to get a proper sized cover and rivet on. Honestly, I'd just try to find a complete steering wheel w/controls and airbag. Or hunt out the airbag with a cover on it, and retrofit. I've got the left and right controls and ribbon cable to connect them part numbers around here somewhere. Still need to install my right hand controls for phone etc.

That's kinda why I was looking at a Taco, but want one of the tiny 4cyl ones that bets 30mpg (2.4l?), and it's gotta have power windows. Fine w/2WD. Saw one on CL that was lowered recently and only 120k miles, $6k ask, really cherry condition, hwy miles, it last all of a day and a half. Reached out to seller, emailed me 48 hours later saying it was sold.

Funny, I've had several tied to acquaintances over the years and ignored them. If I drove enough it'd be a higher priority. It's almost silly for me to buy one, it'd hafta be a smoking deal. I'd be wiser to get something smaller and 5-door or 3 door. I just like having a bed on my vehicles.

Yeah, that's totally what I wanted. A 22R which could squeak toward 30 mpg. Now I have a 15 mpg FGT and a 20 ish turd gen. At least one is stick and one is v8 and we still have a rather useful minivan for real mpg's with all the funzie tech. I'm not complaining, though I sure do want that suspension stuff on soon :)

That was pretty crazy. I don't get the extreme low mile/high price thing. If you start driving that it's gonna split every hose and gasket in there.

Had a similar set on a regular cab Cheby and thought they were awesome. Well, my 20 year old self did. And while they did look slick compared to the stockers, they quickly condensated and one corner cracked off cause it made contact with the tailgate when closing. In the end, they were cheap, gaudy, tacky and I went back to factory.

I've historically had terrible luck with Rain-X. Always made a smeary mess of the windows.
I just use better wipers now.

Weird. I thought salt killed everything.

I dub today, Taillight day :)

Since I’m out a brake light and I have the new housings so I should get them in.

Time permitting I may attempt to get new bulbs in the front corners if I can find the right style. The OG’s look 20 years old and are pretty dim.

Same with me on the wipers, but I've found it makes ice scraping much easier if you don't have the time to defrost the windshield before you leave. Especially when its a frozen sheet of ice.

Downside is having to use a little elbow grease to clear up the Rain-X residue.

Kinda intimidated by the fellas here, but not showing any weakness. I know how brutal blue collar fellas can be.

They are all late 30s to mid 40s, very knowledgeable, and very very intelligent. I can learn a lot here!

Plant tour again. Our tour guide this time showed us everything, but kinda scatter brained so my memory of where everything is at is kinda fragmented. I'll get the lay out of it though. Lol

Being the FNG sucks for a bit. But with your people skills it'll be very short before you're inner circle. Then you get that awesome period where it's fun to learn some new stuff and you can feel the gains/improvement/awareness. Before it gets mundane/boring/lame. There's that sweet spot.

Ive always enjoyed being a fng, you’re allowed to ask questions, people specify a little more, when you meet a dick you can call em a dick. Alot more freedom than being senior somewhere.

Being the FNG at my company was great for the first 6 months until the union realized I was one of the engineers. Probably because they (management and engineers) were just starting to not wear shirts and ties and my last job was casual so of course I came to work in a sweatshirt and jeans. :D
