Proper tools are the key. Toyota engineering wise, things are all realitivly easy to get to.
Work on an American car then your Toyota. Much more thought on where things are put and how to get those things out.

Found the OEM MAF Sensor by Hitachi on Big Gurrll. For future reference.

Back before tech, cars were simple & simple to maintain. As vehicles became more complicated the design layout with consideration to service and repair became more important. Most manufacturers dropped the ball on the service and repair side when designing their vehicles, but Toyota seems to have done a much better job in most cases.

They design the parts to fit the vehicle. Most brands just throw the same parts into multiple vehicles. Part of why our part prices are higher, but the quality is there and so is the fit

@Professional Hand Model I keep seeing this commercial on YouTube and wish you could give this amateur some lessons. Hes like a one trick pony, the only hand gesture he has is the "check this out" pointer. It's so distracting that can't even look at the powerband itself.

They might actually be the same ones, but I got them for the rear o2 sensors which are held in place with 2 bolts each. Not sure how old the sensors are but inner gaskets look to be corroding between the sensor and bung mount. Gonna replace both rears and clean things up.

Gonna replace the front o2 sensors, as well. They have about 30-50k miles on them and are aftermarkets installed by others. The rears may be the originals?

Big Gurrll has the Denso fronts for $43 each. Rears are $47 each (Denso). Gonna get all 4 talking the same language.

Confirmed my Cams Bolts are SPC. Also, snapped a pic of the Billy Bob part number for @revtune to confirm newer shock?

Working on the shock install today. This thing has just fought me left and right. The right side bolt wouldn’t come out so I had to unbolt the axle and LBJ, the drivers side, I can’t get out all the way because one of the studs on top is stripped out so it just spins inside the spacer. Gonna have to dremel it out since it’s too tight to get anything else in there.

That's frustrating. You just installed those in 2018 right? Probably don't even have 20k on them? Time to replace with something better.

Just about 20ishK on them. They are making a ‘scrubbing squeaking’ sound. When I drive with the windows down a slow speeds and pass some parked cars or a fence, the sound reflects back. I first noticed it last fall when the Valet was grabbing the truck.

Sounded like poop. I also heard a tinkle sound which ended up being a loose cotter ping on the axle hub. The pin was tinkling on the loose nut cover which I corrected when doing the front brakes upgrades. I spun the axles without the calipers on and know for a fact this ‘scrubbing’ sound is coming from the axles.

In retrospect: I should have had some quality axles ready for the front end rebuild guys ahead of time, but didn’t plan it properly and got what I paid for.

were they reman axles or brand new ones? the aftermarkets use shitty boots. if theyre Remans you can replace the boots yourself with quality parts from Toyota

Grab a case of patience from Big Gurrll if your 02 fronts are located where 04's are. There were a LOT of MF's(muthafuggars) floating in the air when doing my fronts....Rears were easypeazy !

I hope this isn’t the case, but most likely will be. These are the 3rd sets as the first were a factory recalled and the seconds went bad. These thirds are maybe 4-6 years old. Soaked them 3 times yesterday. Will soak again today.

Did you use that offset crows foot socket on both? I bought one just in case.

Plan B is cutting off socket tip and running a standard socket up with extensions and wobble bit and laying down the law with my 1/2” Milwaukee Impact. Anyone recco not going this way if it comes down to it?

Just showing you this so you can compare pricing. The tax value will be different, but everything else should be the same. I really like rock auto, the way they package and ship there products is awesome.

Or, live dangerously and remove the cats and replace gaskets inside. Here is a pic of the muffler gasket I bought when putting the new muffler back on. Its some type of scrolled up copper rings with heavy duty paper layers between. I assume the copper expands with heat and makes a better seal.

The old gasket had no paper left. Just scrolled up copper.

I went into Denso Technique Mode yesterday on their website. Denso site allows for cross reference of Toy OEM parts. They link to sellers and I ended up going Big Gurrll for the same cost as your link, but with 3 days ship vs. 7-9 day. The Prime Delivery savings nets equal total cost.

I will keep RA in mind for sure.

Most likely the diy’er had bad technique. I’ve heard @empty_lord say he uses gasket maker around the pump for extra measure?

I can’t recall ever getting bad OEM parts from Toyota or their suppliers.

The pumps usually fail at the shaft seal. Or people confuse a littnn in d but of coolant from the weep hole as a leak,

a tiny bit of coolant from the weep hole is normal. Now if there’s a ton then the inside seal has failed. But it is design med to weep sone coolant (we’re talking a small amount here)

The pumps typically fail around the time the belts due. No clue why.
