Sounds similar to the issues @bmf4069 was having. Although, I’m not sure if he fixed it. I miss one week and there’s 128 new pages to this thread.

I see trucks from this dealership posted on CL all the time. Apparently they post all over the US. Cast that wide of a net and someone will end up paying that 5-7k premium they add to each listing.

Gears came today. Like I needed another project.

With stock gears and tires I noticed rpm’s around 1500 at 60mph. Which is kind of funny after driving the Taco.

Mine had all the misfire codes, but was lean. Intake manifold gasket cracked causing a massive vacuum leak.

This should work. The supplied battery cable (and ground) won't be reaching though. On the flip side, the controller cable will likely reach anywhere in the cab.

Stupidly priced but it looks good and probably functions just as well. Out in my area (PNW) that’s pretty normal. Maybe even a tad low.

Definitely a nice, clean truck and yes someone will pay it. Not me. Once you get past 30k you should be lower in miles and higher in trim and years.
But I do admit, used truck pricing seems to continue climbing just as the new trucks are.

Ours never got to do any of that, but she was a bad bitch at agility courses. And as a kid she was super gentle about nipping my ankles when I would skateboard or rollerblade thru the house. Haha the ones my mom has now I’m just thankful they don’t bite me as I’m walking by. We’re pretty sure the female Molly is going blind and probably deaf; she tried to fuck with the cat once and the cat drew first blood! Fucked Molly’s ear up and it folded over after a while, then as the years passed her other ear folded over.

When I was 20 I wouldn't be caught dead with that on my car. Now that I'm 61 and parents and grandparents are all gone? I can say that I was an idiot when I was 20. I'd totally rock that today if it was made for me by someone I care about.

Although it'd get very nasty, very fast in a New England winter.

I remember someone having a hell of a time getting header gaskets to seal with an install of JBA headers. Anyone remember who it was and what the solution ended up being?

my JBA long tubes come in a few weeks. Just trying to gather my parts and info.

you want percy cable taylor gaskets for the flange to engine block. for the other flanges you want to make your own from remflex sheets sold on amazom. throw away the jba gaskets after you use them for template. buy all new flange bolts/studs from toyota. $ but worth it. also have a tube of permaflex high temp gasket maker for some of the flanges where to edges have rounded.

Buying tires is the worst, well that and windshield wipers. I don't know why but those two things just piss me off.

Unrelated turns out 4 plugs in the same tire is too many

If 4 is too many your tire tech just needs to learn how to balance a tire

I kind of dislike having tires installed too. I don't like hanging out in waiting rooms. If it all goes well though I do like the new shoes feeling after.

Maybe it's just where I live or luck but I've only had to have 1 tire patched and one that wasn't repairable in my life. :notsure:

In the short time I worked construction I got a few. Since then I seem to run over a lot of screws that stick in but don't go through.

I can relate to the tire thing. What's so bad about wipers? I get PIAA inserts and never have an issue.

This one tire apparently just attracts them. Two plugs in the center tread, one in the outer tread block, and now a slice in the sidewall. None of the other 3 have ever been repaired.

I go through a set every 3-6 months, the dust from my dirt road just tears them up.

90% of my flats have been my bitch ex-neighbor vandalizing my truck over parking issues. Turns out she was drilling screws into my tires to look like legitimate punctures. They wouldn't go flat unless I drove on them.

Im gonna have a conniption when i have to buy tires. The cooper evolutions for the titan were $115 ea. And until the motorcycle were the most expensive tires id ever bought. Everything else gets the $60 235/75r15 wallyworld wranglers.

those ko2’s are looking like $200. Big oof cause i’ll need 5. Guess i wont be keeping up with the joneses, ill keep an eye out for some takeoffs.

May not be a comfortable ride for that 2000 mile trip. But the ride home will be smooth!

Yea, ive got the tools to change a tire, but the biggest balancer i have fits a bicycle wheel.

But i can get close enough with a lawn tractor tire and a golf cart wheel.

I'd love to own my own road force balancer. New cars and trucks today tend to have issues with balancing right off the lot. It's possibly flat spot issues, but it seems like the lower the profile of the tire, the more likely it could have issues I've noticed.
