I'm in DC though so I'd imagine an AC would get a little more height.

I just put 885s on the front of the truck last weekend.
My measurements are all good for nothing until I unfuck the carolina squat I've got going on. (...which will be as soon as FedEx unfucks themselves and brings my new rear springs)

Which springs you get? I want some flexier rear springs. The stock pack with progressive AAL and overload removed is ok for wheeling. But could always be better.

So when you first start the truck it should be the same as your wt or close to it, it should slowly rise and not see any up or down fluctuations. On the freeway unloaded I’m usually between 150-170ish, if I’m loaded and haulin ace; closer to 190-192

do you have a v3 of their scan gauge?

I bought stock replacements from ATS and AAL from Skyjacker. (~2")
Won't be as flexy as a progressive, but that's not a top priority for me at this time.

V3? I have an older SG2 and a brand new one. I'm still breaking in the new one on the Tundra. The older ones going in the T100. It's been super mild weather here lately and a cold front just blew in so trans temps have stayed pretty low so far. Scangauge just sent me the new xgauge for the A750 trans temp yesterday for me to try

Man I opened the guitar box this morning to allow more air passage. Sonofabitch its a box within a box. I pulled that box out and its all taped up, not sure how humidity will balance in a sealed box. I slit the top open to let it breathe. Wasn't expecting that.

@Darkness Did they put any silica in it to help? I would only worry if the package was colder than the room and would cause condensate to form. You're probably okay since it's not vacuum sealed anyway.

I had an 01 AC with no extra weight up front and mine eventually settled at 24. Higher than most and when I took it in to toytec to look at it they said the 1st gens vary a lot for whatever reason. Mine was on OME shocks.

That sounds low. I've had 3 first gens

    01 AC - 160-180
    01 Sequoia 120-140
    06 DC 170-180

I'm trying to figure out why the sequoia temp is so low. First thing I'm going to check is see if the PO bypassed the radiator cooler, the external cooler is there.

Had to open it to find out hahaha. Just opened it up, first inspection all looks fine. Action is lower than expected and I'm amazed that it can be this low. Plays super easy, barre chords are no effort at all. I'll post some pics later today in the guitar thread.

That's what separates the cheap guitars from the good ones. The good ones you expect it, the cheaper ones are hit or miss.

action height refers to how close the strings are to the fretboard. the lower the action, the easier to play and/or push the strings down, but the more likely you are to have buzzing and intonation issues.

high quality guitars can sound really good and have zero intonation or buzzing issues with an extremely low action, cheaper guitars struggle.

This one is surprisingly affordable. I spotted it at an online retailer for $345, the retailer I prefer was able to match that price (regular $429). Outstanding deal with free shipping. I went ahead and asked them to do the setup and strings for $70 to offset their discount a bit. Glad I did that.

I have one big problem now. I won't be playing my Taylor acoustic that cost twice as much. I might have to lower the action on that, for some reason I'm afraid to do it. On my Les Paul no biggie but intonation is easy to fix, different story on acoustic.

Nice! So why the Guild in addition to the Taylor? I haven't made the changeover so I'm not familiar with the acoustic sounds from the different makes.

I need to play it more indoors, I played for about 10 minutes outside. Sounds clean, wasn't getting as low as expected but I was being gentle on it and maybe indoors it will have more thump. I felt clumsy while trying to get used to the action, its so much lower than my others. I'll play it more after work and post better pics in the guitar thread if I can.

A lot of people knock the Chinese built guitars but so far I think this is on par or very close to my Mexican built Taylor that cost 2x as much. Frets are clean and polished, no sharp edges, all nicely filed. So far the joins look clean and tight. Only qc thing I noticed was the tuners being a little crooked.

The usual stuff, but I don't recall getting Smarties before.
