Being a drag car it's either a b20 Frankenstein or an h22 from a prelude. That's pretty cool either way.

Do we have shackle flips? I thought I remember reading we couldn't do that due to the way they're manufactured.

IDK if BB ever did it, but his post here was the impetus for me to go full custom out back.

I'd go with a progressive AAL instead of skyjacker if you're gonna go that route.

Good to know. I don't know enough about either to know what would be best for your situation.

With the Taco leaf packs, I've already got one more leaf than I had before. I just don't think they have the arch to lift the truck. I feel like the progressive AAL get's 2/3 of its lift from the thickness of the springs it adds.
The skyjacker leaf is thick af and I've read that it can give 2-3" of lift.
If I get to blow apart the leaves again, I can swap in a Tundra leaf for one of the Taco leaves and add the skyjacker leaf and hopefully get back to level.

Anybody in California ever notice if you have something shipped from across the country, it can check in at 3 different states in one day, but when it hits California it will kick around for 3 days here before arriving at your door?

    That's not a CA-specific issue.
Lots of my shipments make it to Indy/Zionsville and camp there for a few days before finding their way onto a delivery truck.

I would just replace the leaf springs with new and be done with it. No fuss, no muss.

Not sure if that's good to hear or not. Makes sense that it would go from a big freight style delivery stop to a smaller local distribution stop and take up a day, but I've seen as many as three days.

This one started in your state and made fast moves but we'll see from here. Rialto is a 2 hours drive away, straight across 210 to 118. I'm guessing it takes the 10 instead and stops to party in LA for a day, maybe checks out Hollywood. Gets drunk, gets lost, finds its way home mid week.

Archive used to make a nice shackle flip but they discontinued it after a year or so. I can't recall why but it had some adverse affect. Now they make a different reinforced shackle and hanger combo but that doesn't give lift.

I don't think a progressive will get you up. The foundation is your existing leafs and they probably don't have the arch they used to have. That big skyjacker I don't know much about. Sounds possible, might make the ride jumpy. If you aren't looking for the off road flexies it's probably fine. Shitty thing about leaf is there is a trade off for everything.

A few guys here are happy with Atlas full packs. There was another similar company too but I can't recall the name. Prices were around $500 which is reasonable. Outside of that going into Alcan, Archive, Deaver and the like gets you into thousand dollar territory.

There are dollars and corroded hardware that would argue with 'no fuss, no muss'.
    Mostly the dollars.
I can talk myself into up to $500, but I'm not spending 4 figures on some leaves for this truck.

I'm not crawling rocks in the Tundra. I do plan to do some trail-riding, but barring an unforeseen major change in my lifestyle, my Truck will spend 90% of its time on pavement. I can live without the articulation...certainly for now.

There's no way in hell I'm going to spend $1000 on some leaves. I'll sooner put the stock springs on the front, reassemble the stock leaves, and sell the truck at stock height with fresh chassis bits.

I'm pretty frustrated and kinda wishing I'd sold it instead of diving into the suspension.

Understood. As @Darkness stated above, I don't believe the progressive or bastard pack is going to get you what it is you desire, unfortunately. ATS H-D springs are a reasonably-priced candidate and the shipping shouldn't be too bad considering you're relatively close to them (they're in Pa). Mine were @ $600 shipped to my door and $200 or so of that was shipping here to Az.

    Shipping from ATS is ~$87.
That should get me close to level, so I'd still need to add an AAL to restore the factory rake.
~$400 for new springs from ATS
    $120-220 for AAL
~$500-650 for all new rear springs that will set my height where I want it.
Kelly is going to be pissed.

Do what any self-respecting married man would do in your situation: tell her you are sorry and you misjudged and should have listened to her. Then do something nice for her. Lol!

Be sure you get the heavy-duty leaves.

@chrisb, I just went and measured the rear end. From center hub to fender arch is 23.5". I believe it was closer to 24" when they were first installed so they have settled some after some cycling. @Lil Steve, @rock climber and I all have them and like them. There may be some others here running them that I don't recall right now.

I see the HD has one more leaf, less arch, and 2000lb capacity (instead of 1500)
I don't do a lot of towing. Is the HD really necessary?

It's worth reiterating that I'm going to need an AAL either way to get the rear up higher.

No, if you don't forsee ever using that extra capacity, then I suppose not.

Yeah that has happened a few times. Especially if there are more than one package, you get 1 out of 3 and the other two no longer track. They just show up one day... maybe.

Damn, that's a good deal. Ever been to an insurance auction for dealers? That's how I bought my first car for $6500 under blue book with only $500 in used/new parts needed.

So I've been texting Kelly back and forth throughout the day with options and ideas.
I feel really badly about this unplanned expense. I've been hemorrhaging cash this entire fall and I hate depleting our savings as much as I have.
Despite expressing this sentiment, my wife said, "Money is in your checking. See what you can find. If you don't use it all, move the leftover back to savings. ...now stop letting it ruin your day."
    I don't deserve Kelly.

Regular duty ATS leaves (and new bumps) ordered.
Skyjacker ~2" AAL ordered from Bilsteinliftsdotcom.

There's a chance I get both shipment this week, which means the truck gets fixed on Saturday evening or Sunday.
I'm accepting donations of thoughts, prayers, oreos, and roses. (roses are for Kelly)

Don't forget the appropriate length u-bolts if you don't already have them. I'm guessing 8" ones would be sufficient.

I have brand new U-bolts on the truck now. I intentionally didn't cut them down after install just in case of fuckery such as this.
And the AAL comes with long locating pins.
The only hardware I'm going to need are new 14mm bolts for the springs and shackle.
